Birkenstock Steps Into Foot Care
In celebration of its 250th anniversary, Birkenstock, globally renowned for its iconic sandals, is unveiling a collection of premium foot care products designed for the body and mind.
Drawing on its extensive orthopaedic heritage, the German footwear giant, established in 1774 by Johannes Birkenstock, has developed a range of products aimed at offering a comprehensive approach to foot health. The new Care Essentials collection is the result of years of research and development, with each product meticulously crafted to address common foot concerns. Additionally, these products feature sensorial textures and subtle fragrances—including cedarwood and patchouli, petitgrain and bergamot, eucalyptus and menthol, and blood orange and cypress—to help indulge the senses.
The collection includes six products: Relaxing Bath Salts, Smoothing Pumice Stone, Exfoliating Foot Scrub, Nourishing Foot Balm, Relief Lotion for Tired Legs & Feet, and Comforting Dry Oil. Priced between $10 and $50, all items are manufactured in Germany using 100% natural-origin ingredients, and are presented in 100% recycled aluminium tubes and 100% recyclable glass bottles, underscoring Birkenstock’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

According to WWD, the launch of Birkenstock’s foot care line will be complemented by exclusive foot spas in select global locations, beginning with a six-week event at the Merci concept store in Paris. These spas will provide a unique opportunity for customers to personally experience the products, enhanced by a massage protocol developed alongside expert reflexologists. After Paris, the foot spa experience will continue in cities across Singapore, Japan, and the United States, promoting foot health worldwide.
Birkenstock’s Care Essentials collection is set to launch on 1st October and will be available exclusively at birkenstock.com, Birkenstock stores, and selected retail partners.
