Bread Beauty Supply is Acquired by CODB Holdings

Textured haircare brand Bread Beauty Supply has been acquired by Cost of Doing Business, a newly formed holding company founded by Topicals CEO Olamide Olowe and President Sochi Mbadugha.
Bread becomes the first beauty brand to join CODB Holdings, which is focused on building and scaling brands that prioritise culture and community.
Founded in 2020 by Maeva Heim, Bread has earned a global following for its minimalist, solution-focused approach to haircare that celebrates all hair types. The brand is currently stocked in over 1,000 stores across the US, UK, and Australia.
Heim will continue to lead the brand’s creative direction and innovation in her role as Chief Creative Officer, working closely with the CODB Holdings executive team.
“I’m so excited to be working with Olamide and Sochi on building out the second evolution of the Bread Beauty Supply brand. We partnered with the Cost of Doing Business Holding Company to further champion our community whilst also driving growth, maintaining the DNA of the brand, and our commitment to textured hair care. I look forward to continuing to drive the brand’s creative vision and product innovation,” said Heim.
With CODB’s support, Bread will expand its retail presence significantly this month, rolling out into 100 additional Sephora locations and launching in all Ulta Beauty stores across the US by the end of April.
Further cementing its commitment to community, Bread is also launching a new initiative, Everybody Eats, pledging $25,000 in donations to food-based nonprofits across the US, UK, and Australia throughout 2025—with an additional $25,000 pledge to follow later in the year.
