BYOMA Launches First Acne-Focused Range

British beauty brand Byoma is bringing its barrier-first philosophy to acne care with the launch of Byoma Blemish, a clinically proven system designed to target breakouts without compromising long-term skin health.
Since its founding in 2022 by beauty entrepreneur Marc Elrick, Byoma has quickly become one of the fastest-growing names in skincare. With a commitment to making clinically effective skincare both affordable and accessible, the brand’s barrier-focused approach has resonated globally, with one product sold every second.
Moving into acne care feels like a natural evolution for the solution-driven brand, which has invested more than $2 million in clinical testing and conducted over 75 independent trials, capturing more than 130,000 skin measurements to date.
“At Byoma, we’re on a mission to build better beauty; to inspire, shape, and change the future of our industry,” the brand said in a statement. “We’re passionately committed to raising the bar for clinical efficacy within skincare, and to finding science-backed, clinically proven solutions for the consumer that aren’t currently on the market.”
Research from Byoma highlights that while acne primarily affects adolescents — with around 85% of people aged 12–24 experiencing breakouts — adult acne rates have risen globally by 10% over the past decade. Despite this, treatment options have evolved little in recent years.
According to the brand, most acne products still rely on long-established ingredients like benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. And while effective, their formulations have changed little over decades. Many treatments remain overly drying or irritating, often disrupting the skin barrier and leading to redness, peeling, and recurring breakouts. “People accept that breakout treatments will break their skin barriers. But they shouldn’t have to,” explains the brand. “We knew something needed to change.”
That change comes in the form of Byoma Blemish, a three-step system designed to target every stage of the breakout cycle while preserving and strengthening the skin’s natural barrier. Central to the innovation is the patent-pending Clearamide Complex, created to deliver results without causing damage or irritation.
“Our approach to R&D is to solve true consumer needs and serve the consumer in a better way,” Byoma added. “It’s time to treat your breakouts right, without stripping your skin of what keeps it healthy.”
Clearamide Complex blends ceramides and phytosphingosine to restore barrier function and reduce blemish-causing bacteria, while ethyl linoleate regulates sebum and refines texture. Hydroxycinnamic acid and rutin provide antioxidant protection, preventing sebum oxidation and helping to calm redness and irritation.

The collection launches with six products:
