Celebrity Makeup Artist Quinn Murphy Launches Spatch
Quinn Murphy, a celebrity makeup artist who has worked with Natalie Portman, Kate Hudson, Sofia Vergara, Kristen Stewart, and Dakota Johnson, among others, has launched a new beauty brand named Spatch.
Spatch focuses on skincare-infused makeup solutions that aim to correct rather than conceal, enhancing the natural appearance of the skin with products that blend seamlessly.
Spatch originated from Murphy’s desire for a powder colour corrector or concealer that blends effortlessly with the complexion to deliver long-lasting results. Speaking to BeautyNewsDaily, Murphy shared, “I was driven by the need for a product that would ensure my clients looked flawless yet natural during photo shoots and red-carpet events after leaving my makeup chair.”
After two years of rigorous development and countless formulation tests, Murphy achieved his goal. “There was a lot of back-and-forth with product formulation because I wanted the product to be talc-free, but still perform as a talc-based product would,” he explained.
The outcome is Invisible Spot Fix, a powder concealer that is available in six carefully curated shades, each formulated to colour-correct imperfections and create a flawless-looking complexion. Unlike traditional concealers, it doesn’t just mask blemishes; it neutralises them. Whether worn alone or alongside makeup, this product effectively conceals dark marks, blemishes, redness, and other imperfections without adding unwanted texture or weight.
“Invisible Spot Fix has become a staple in my makeup kit,” Murphy stated. “It’s perfect for any client, whether as a final touch-up or as a base for layering more makeup.” He added, “I’ve used all Spatch products on many celebrity clients and they all love the results.”
Complementing Invisible Spot Fix is Brush 01, a double-sided, vegan tool designed for precise and effortless application. To enhance the effectiveness of the brand’s hero concealer, Spatch also offers the Sali-c Primer, infused with salicylic acid, witch hazel, and green tea, which helps unclog pores, control oil, and hydrate the skin.
To ensure Invisible Spot Fix maintains a long-lasting flawless finish, Murphy recommends Spatch’s alcohol-free Setting Spray. This lightweight spray combines salicylic acid, niacinamide, allantoin, hyaluronic acid, squalene, and DL-panthenol to brighten, hydrate, balance, and smooth the skin.
When asked about future product launches, Murphy said, “We hope to expand our collection in the future. For now, our primary focus is on building a strong community and raising awareness about our products.”
As an accessible makeup brand for those seeking effective skincare solutions, Spatch products are thoughtfully priced between $16 and $38. Currently, the products are only available in the US and Canada at spatchskin.com; however, the brand plans to offer international shipping in the near future.
