Claudia Schiffer is the New Face of Rhode

Rhode, Hailey Bieber’s beloved beauty brand, has named supermodel Claudia Schiffer as the face of its latest launch, Barrier Butter.

The announcement came via Instagram, where Rhode shared Schiffer’s campaign video along with the caption, “Meet our new intensive moisture balm for deep hydration overnight. A supercharged addition to your nighttime routine, our buttery-smooth formula helps strengthen the skin barrier and seal in moisture for up to 24 hours—restoring skin’s natural softness and bounce.”

Formulated to deliver intense hydration whenever and wherever needed, Barrier Butter is packed with 13 potent ingredients, including ceramides, polyglutamic acid, murumuru butter, and a hyaluronic acid complex. These work together to provide multi-layered moisture that lasts up to 24 hours. Speaking to Vogue, Bieber explained, “You can use it on the face, neck, chest, and hands, and it’s great for plumping and hydrating the skin, addressing fine lines and all of that.”

The balm is gluten-free, cruelty-free, vegan, and non-comedogenic. It has been dermatologist-tested and carries the Seal of Acceptance from the National Eczema Association, marking its suitability for sensitive skin. Available in two sizes, Big Barrier Butter (150ml) retails for £38 ($38), and Little Barrier Butter (40ml) for £22 ($22).

Bieber’s choice of Schiffer for the campaign was an obvious one. As she explained to Vogue, the vision was for “somebody who could bring iconic energy” to the campaign. She added, “She looks unreal, she’s so beautiful, sweet and kind – I can’t even believe she wanted to do this.”

Often referred to as the original supermodel, Schiffer rose to fame in the ’90s and has since graced over 1,000 magazine covers and represented countless brands. Reflecting on her collaboration with Rhode, she told Vogue, “I feel very honoured Hailey has chosen me to be part of one of her countless successes – I’m one of her fans, I’ve been to Erewhon in Los Angeles and had multiple Hailey Bieber smoothies!”

Barrier Butter will officially launch on 28th October and will be available at rhodeskin.com.
