ghd Unveils Duet Blowdry

ghd has revolutionised wet-to-dry styling with the launch of Duet Blowdry, the first 2-in-1 hair dryer brush designed to simplify your routine and deliver salon-worthy blow dries at home. This innovative tool eliminates the need for separate drying and styling devices, promising smooth, voluminous results even on wet hair.

Developed by ghd’s scientific and engineering team based in Cambridge, UK, the Duet Blowdry boasts the brand’s new Heat-Air Xchange Technology. This groundbreaking system utilises airflow to actively heat the barrel and snag-free bristles, providing long-lasting blow dries with 40% less energy consumption compared to using a traditional hair dryer and brush separately.

“Combining optimal air flow, surface heat and heated bristles, the superior tech in Duet Blowdry enables this one tool to deliver superior results – the perfect blow dry finish, from wet, with no heat damage,” explains Dr. Rob Milner, ghd CTO.

Suitable for all hair types and textures, the Duet Blowdry features snag-free bristles that glide effortlessly through hair, preventing tangles and breakage. The unique elliptical-shaped barrel plate smooths hair as you style and can get right into the roots to achieve maximum volume. Additionally, it maintains a consistent temperature of 120°C for consistent heat transfer.

For a comfortable styling experience, the Duet Blowdry features a powerful, ultra-compact brushless digital motor. This motor ensures a steady flow of air is propelled through the heater at conversation-friendly sound levels, allowing you to chat or listen to music without disruption. Precisely positioned air vents gently dry hair and eliminate flyaways for a smoother, frizz-free finish. To further enhance control and minimise heat damage, two sensors monitor the surface temperature at an impressive 400 times per second, ensuring even heat distribution across the barrel and bristles.

The ghd Duet Blowdry is available now from ghdhair.com, as well as Sephora in the US, and John Lewis in the UK.
