Grown Alchemist to Open Its First UK Store
Australian beauty brand Grown Alchemist is set to unveil its first international flagship store, situated in London’s Soho district. Spanning 570 square feet, the brand’s new Carnaby Street store promises to redefine the skincare retail experience, spread across two interactive floors dedicated to advanced biotech-based skin and body care formulas.
Opening on 2nd November 2024, the London flagship will offer a holistic approach to skin health, incorporating bespoke skincare consultations, exclusive face and body treatments, IV drip therapies, and cutting-edge skin regeneration technologies alongside services from brand partners. The design of the store reflects Grown Alchemist’s commitment to merging plant science with sophisticated biotechnology, featuring considered architectural elements, advanced materials, and a multi-sensorial environment that highlights the brand’s ethos.
As part of a strategic expansion plan, this new establishment aims to be more than just a retail space. It is designed as a comprehensive wellness hub that extends the brand’s philosophy of Biological Beauty—using advanced plant-based formulas and biotech ingredients to enhance skin function. This approach is further enriched with unique treatments and experiences, setting a new standard in the beauty industry.
“Grown Alchemist has crafted this space as more than just a display for the brand’s advanced, skin-smart formulas—it’s a discovery destination for holistic well-being, tailored for the skin-conscious consumer,” said Anna Teal, CEO of Grown Alchemist. “We’re incredibly proud of the forward-thinking partnerships and holistic skin treatments that we will offer. The store is the ultimate expression of our brand, and we are delighted to be able to bring this to the UK”.
Founded in Australia in 2008, Grown Alchemist is a brand for all skin types that are impacted by modern living. The brand’s high-performance formulas support skin health thanks to advanced plant and bio-tech ingredients which work in harmony with the skin biology for better absorption and results. In addition to the core skincare collection, Grown Alchemist offers spa treatments and services that include cryotherapy, lymphatic drainage, and IV Infusion Therapy.
In 2022, Grown Alchemist was acquired by the L’Occitane Group. However, in April 2024, the brand announced it was moving to private ownership. Andre Hoffmann, a current board member and former vice-chairman and CEO of L’Occitane International S.A., acquired a controlling majority stake, while Teal was named a minority shareholder. The transaction price was disclosed as €28 million.
