Introducing Celine Beauté
Celine is entering the beauty space with a debut makeup collection set to launch this autumn.
The French Maison teased the new venture in its AW24 fashion film La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe, which was posted to Instagram on Tuesday. According to the brand, the film “marks the birth of Celine Beauté, the first cosmetics line in the house’s history.”
In the film, models are seen wearing the new La Peau Nue lipstick, part of the full 15-shade Le Rouge Celine collection that will be available in 2025. Rouge Triomphe, a satin red lipstick will launch this autumn.
Born from Celine’s Haute Parfumerie collection that launched in 2019, Celine Beauté is the creation of Hedi Slimane, the creative, artistic, and image director of Celine.
“The creation of Celine Beauté comes to enrich the cultural roots, promoting a French idea of femininity and allure, distilled over the last five years by Slimane in his new institutional codes for the Maison Celine.” the fashion house said in a statement.
The house will launch a new beauty collection each season which is said to include lip balms, mascaras, eyeliners, eye pencils, powder, nail polish, and “blush cases.”
Celine is the latest luxury fashion brand to enter the designer beauty category: last month Marni signed a licensing deal with Coty, while Miu Miu announced a beauty partnership with L’Oréal.
