Labareau Lands in the UK

Labareau

Labareau, the new luxury cosmeceutical brand from Dutch aesthetician and entrepreneur Lindsay van der Looij, is founded on the belief that clinical efficacy and sensorial skincare can — and should — coexist.

With over two decades of direct experience in clinical skincare, van der Looij’s career spans advanced facial treatments, injectables, laser therapy, and collaborations with cosmetic and plastic surgeons. In 2018, she launched The BLOY Institute in Amsterdam, a high-end skin clinic renowned for its personalised care and technical precision. The clinic’s success led to a second location in Eindhoven in 2024, where she now works alongside a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, cosmetic doctors, and skincare specialists.

After years of working with a wide range of products, skin types, and concerns, van der Looij saw a gap in the market for high-performance formulas that deliver both clinical efficacy and an elevated experience. Her response was Labareau: a science- and sensory-driven skincare line powered by the brand’s proprietary SAXZ-12 technology and a 97% native atelocollagen complex.

SAXZ-12 is a patented complex developed over four years in collaboration with scientists and biochemists. It targets three core causes of skin ageing — collagen degradation, moisture loss, and oxidative stress — through a potent combination of native atelocollagen, three molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, and bioactive peptides. The result, according to the brand, is firmer, smoother, more hydrated skin with improved elasticity and reduced fine lines.

The brand’s debut range begins with The Cleanser, a vitamin C–enriched cleansing milk that provides a gentle yet thorough cleanse. Witch hazel extract helps refine pores, while allantoin soothes and softens. Then comes The Toner, a blend of salicylic and lactic acids that gently exfoliates, restores the skin’s pH, and leaves it smooth, clear, and primed for active ingredients.

For deeper renewal, The AHA Peel harnesses alpha hydroxy acids in a clinically proven complex that gently resurfaces, brightens, and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, while also prepping the skin for better product absorption.

Day and night serums are central to Labareau’s philosophy. The Day Formula, powered by SAXZ-12, combines peptides and hyaluronic acid to visibly lift, firm, and restore radiance. The Night Formula supports overnight regeneration with a complementary blend of actives designed to replenish, hydrate, and smooth the skin while you sleep.

Targeted treatments include The Volume, a velvety cream infused with jojoba oil and champagne leaf extract, known for its skin-plumping and wrinkle-softening benefits. The Uplift, a dual-purpose serum for the face and eye area, blends evening primrose oil with firming peptides to visibly lift, smooth, and rejuvenate.

Completing the routine is The Protector, a lightweight SPF50 infused with hyaluronic acid and antioxidant carnosine. Designed to shield against UV and free radical damage without leaving a white cast, it protects while enhancing texture and radiance.

Formulated in the Netherlands using locally sourced ingredients, Labareau’s products are cruelty-free and exclude mineral oils, parabens, and sulphates, making them suitable for sensitive skin.

Labareau is available online at labareau.com, with prices starting from £79. Information regarding a US launch is yet to be announced.
