NUXE Launches First-Ever Hair Care Line
Nuxe has expanded into hair care with the launch of Hair Prodigieux.
As a leader in French pharmacy beauty since its founding in 1991, Nuxe is celebrated for its commitment to natural cosmetology and its use of skin-nurturing botanical oils. The brand’s bestseller, Huile Prodigieuse, is a multi-purpose dry oil enriched with seven precious oils—argan, sweet almond, macadamia, hazelnut, borage, tsubaki, and camellia. It has earned a global cult following for its nourishing properties, luxurious texture, and captivating scent, remaining the most beloved beauty oil in France to date.
While Nuxe has previously offered hair care solutions such as the After Sun Hair & Body Shampoo, this is the brand’s first venture into a comprehensive hair care line dedicated exclusively to enhancing hair health.
The new Hair Prodigieux collection delivers a complete four-step routine tailored for all hair types, prioritising intense shine, deep repair, and a rich sensory experience.
Central to this line is the use of fermented pink camellia oil. This oil, revered for centuries by Japanese geishas for its deep nourishing properties, is derived from cold-pressed camellia japonica seeds. The brand’s unique fermentation process, which utilises the natural action of yeast, enhances the oil’s potency with minimal energy consumption. This process produces a super oil, concentrated in active molecules and containing a glycolipid known for its powerful repairing properties. The oil’s refined texture allows for optimal penetration into the hair fibres, ensuring effective delivery of its benefits.
Breaking conventional hair care conventions, the first product in the Hair Prodigieux routine is The Mask, a nourishing pre-shampoo treatment. This step prepares the hair by saturating it with nutrients through a blend of fermented pink camellia oil, castor oil, and jojoba oil. This oil-based formula is particularly effective on dry hair and can be left on for up to 30 minutes for enhanced repair.
Following the pre-treatment is the High Shine Shampoo, a gentle cleanser that removes impurities while preserving the hair’s natural moisture balance. Its sulphate-free formula features four natural-origin surfactants that ensure effective cleansing without harshness, leaving hair shiny and silky. The accompanying High Shine Conditioner, free from silicones, envelops each strand in a layer of nourishment, ensuring hair is silky, strengthened and instantly detangled.
Completing the four-part routine, the Intense Nourishing Leave-In Cream acts as a repairing concentrate that infuses hair with lasting moisture and protection. Formulated with fermented pink camellia oil and quinoa extract, this cream aids in styling by smoothing and strengthening hair, while offering thermal protection against styling appliances that heat up to 220°C.
Adhering to Laboratoire Nuxe’s stringent clean charter, all products in the Hair Prodigieux collection are vegan, silicone-free, made in France, and boast at least 93% natural-origin ingredients. Devoid of sulphates and other harsh chemicals, these formulas are designed to respect the hair’s natural integrity while providing high-performance results. The collection also carries the signature scent of Huile Prodigieuse, a floral blend of orange blossom, magnolia, and vanilla, transforming hair care into a sensory experience.
