Proactiv Returns to the UK
Proactiv, one of the most recognised brands in acne skincare, is officially back in the UK. Renowned for its effective 3-step skincare system, Proactiv has been empowering individuals to achieve clearer and healthier skin for nearly three decades.
Founded in 1995 by dermatologists Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields, Proactiv has cultivated over 20 million customers worldwide. The brand’s clinically proven, multi-step system tackles acne at every stage, combining gentle yet effective ingredients to combat breakouts and prevent future ones. The brand’s commitment to addressing imperfections, blemishes, and other common skin concerns has earned the trust of millions globally.
“Proactiv has successfully helped people feel more confident with their skin. Whether an individual is struggling with beginner blemishes or consistent breakouts,” explained Samantha Boulukos, Head of Proactiv Business. “We’re confident our products can help achieve clear, healthier-looking skin.”
The relaunch coincides with a recent UK Skincare Report that identified breakouts as a major concern for many. According to the report, 54% of Britons feel insecure about their skin, with 70% of those suffering from skin conditions experiencing a significant impact on their confidence. Furthermore, 57% of participants feel self-conscious in public during breakouts, with nearly half using makeup to conceal them.
Proactiv will re-enter the market with two best-selling, dermatologist-tested routines tailored for different skin types: Proactiv Gentle and Proactiv Solution. Both routines are formulated with clinically-proven ingredients to effectively target blemishes.
The Proactiv Gentle 3-Step Routine is designed for sensitive skin and includes a cleanser, toner, and hydrator. It features mild, effective actives such as mineral-derived sulfur and salicylic acid to clear blemishes, while ingredients like hyaluronic acid, bakuchiol, and chamomile soothe and enhance skin texture and tone.
The Proactiv Solution 3-Step Routine, comprising a cleanser, lotion, and hydrator, focuses on deep cleansing and purification. It utilises salicylic acid and glycolic acid to exfoliate dead skin cells and cleanse away dirt, sweat, and oil, helping to maintain clear skin and prevent future breakouts.
These products are available individually or as part of 30 or 60 day kits, with prices ranging from £22 to £36 for individual products, and from £42 to £60 for kits.
“Proactiv’s relaunch in the UK underscores our dedication to expanding our reach and helping even more individuals achieve clearer, healthier skin,” said Dr. Rachel Nazarian, Board-Certified Dermatologist and long-time Proactiv partner. “I am enthusiastic about the return of Proactiv to the UK market and look forward to the positive impact it will have.”
Proactiv products are exclusively available at Boots stores across the UK and can also be purchased online at boots.com.
