Puig Acquires Dr. Barbara Sturm
Puig, the Spanish fashion and beauty conglomerate, has acquired a majority stake in German molecular cosmetics brand, Dr. Barbara Sturm, strengthening the Group’s position in the luxury skincare market. Although the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, retail sales are said to have reached $150 million in 2023.
This acquisition will see Dr Barbara Sturm join Puig’s portfolio of much-loved global beauty brands, including Charlotte Tilbury, Byredo, and Penhaligon’s.

Dr. Barbara Sturm was founded in 2014 by world-renowned German aesthetic doctor and pioneer in the field of anti-inflammatory treatments, Dr. Barbara Sturm. The brand’s portfolio includes skincare, bodycare, haircare, and supplements, as well as high-performance treatments that are available in some of the world’s best spas. Since its inception, the brand has amassed a cult following, including A-listers such as Victoria Beckham, Hailey Bieber, and Kim Kardashian.

Dr. Sturm will retain a minority stake in the brand and continue leading product development as Chief Product Development Officer and Brand Ambassador.
