Skn to Skn Launches for Every Stage of Motherhood

Skn to Skn is a new expert-led skincare brand launching with a mission to transform how women care for hormonally sensitive skin, from trying to conceive through to pregnancy and postpartum. Founded by former music industry executive Sara Stokes, the brand officially debuts on 4 July across 177 Boots stores in the UK, as well as six in Ireland.

Positioning itself as the first clinically proven skincare line formulated specifically for women who are trying to conceive, pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum, Skn to Skn aims to set a new standard in maternal skincare by eliminating the guesswork and compromises that often accompany it.

The idea for the brand was born from Stokes’ own experiences during pregnancy, when navigating skincare safety became a source of real frustration. She encountered a lack of guidance, vague labels, contradictory advice, and unclear restrictions on widely used ingredients.

Determined to change the narrative, Stokes partnered with dermatologists, GPs, cosmetic chemists, and women’s health professionals to create a category-first skincare line. The result is a debut collection of four multitasking products, each formulated to safely and effectively target common hormonal skin concerns — including acne, pigmentation, sensitivity, and dryness — across every stage of motherhood. These include:

• Balancing Act Gel-to-Oil Cleanser: a gentle yet thorough cleanser that dissolves makeup, SPF, and impurities in one step. Infused with virgin maracuja oil, omegas 3, 6, and 9, and vitamin E, it restores moisture and leaves skin soft and balanced.
• Glow & Go Daily Moisturiser with Mineral SPF 30: a brightening, hydrating daily moisturiser formulated with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and broad-spectrum mineral SPF. Protecting against UVA, UVB, and blue light, it is available in a light and deep sheer tint to suit a range of skin tones without leaving a white cast.
• Sleep Cheat Night Cream: a nourishing night cream that blends inca omega oil, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and soothing botanicals to boost hydration, improve elasticity, and repair the skin barrier while you sleep.
• Multi-Tasking Face Serum: a lightweight, water-based serum that provides a gentle alternative to retinol. Powered by astaxanthin, peptides, hyaluronic acid, and an azelaic acid derivative, it works to brighten, hydrate, and smooth the skin without irritation.

Every product is free from retinol, overly potent acids, and other common ingredients that are restricted during pregnancy. Instead, the formulas are built on clinically supported actives shown to be both safe and effective throughout the maternal journey.

According to the brand, each formulation undergoes rigorous testing, including dermatologist-led safety assessments, SPF efficacy testing, non-comedogenic and sensitivity patch tests, and user trials carried out exclusively on pregnant women.
