Sweet Chemistry Lands at Violet Grey

Sweet Chemistry Skincare

Sweet Chemistry is officially entering Violet Grey stores this month, marking the brand’s first brick-and-mortar presence in the US.

Founded in 2023, the brand was created in collaboration with biomedical engineer, chemist, and CEO Alec Batis, biomedical technology company Xylyx Bio, and Xylyx Bio’s co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. John O’Neill. Since launch, it has built a reputation for scientifically driven formulas powered by Matrikynes, a patent-pending complex of bone-derived regenerative ECM peptides. Originally developed for organ repair, these peptides are designed to deliver clinically significant skin repair, rejuvenating the barrier and supporting long-term resilience.

“This is a major milestone for Sweet Chemistry Labs as a brand — and for me personally as a founder,” said Batis. “Our mission has always been clear: to create scientifically driven skincare with complete transparency and formulas that truly transform skin, and we’ve been successful thus far. Partnering with Violet Grey allows us to stay true to that mission while expanding our brand channels. Violet Grey has excelled in setting the standard for what performance skincare should be.”

Since its launch in 2013, Violet Grey has cemented its reputation as a tastemaker in premium beauty. With a curated edit of cult favourites available online and across its three Los Angeles stores, the retailer is defined by the Violet Code, a meticulous vetting process that calls on a circle of renowned makeup artists, hairstylists, aestheticians, dermatologists, and celebrity influencers. Each product is tested, debated, and approved before earning a place on Violet Grey’s shelves, resulting in a selection said to represent the very best in beauty.

Sweet Chemistry Elasticity Reinforcing Lipid-Cream

“We’re thrilled to welcome Sweet Chemistry exclusively to the shelves of Violet Grey,” said Tracy Kline, Group President of Violet Grey. “As with all products launched at Violet Grey, the Sweet Chemistry line was tested by the Violet Grey Committee of industry experts and received the coveted seal, Violet Code Approved (VCA). The groundbreaking technology behind this brand, said to have been impossible by some experts, is rooted in its exclusive ingredient that is clinically proven to support tissue regeneration and repair. It’s nothing we have seen before and know our community of discerning clients will be eager to experience.”

The full Sweet Chemistry range is now launching at Violet Grey, including its bestselling Elasticity Reinforcing Lipid Cream ($135) and Reparative Oil-Serum Infusion ($136), alongside the new Hydra Series.

Sweet Chemistry will be available in Violet Grey stores and at violetgrey.com from 22 September. The brand is already available in the US at sweetchemistry.com, and in the UK at glowtrend.co.uk.
