The Estée Lauder Companies Appoints Lisa Sequino

Lisa Sequino

The Estée Lauder Companies has appointed Lisa Sequino as president of its makeup brand division, a newly created role in which the seasoned executive will lead the global strategy and growth of the group’s cosmetics portfolio.

In her new role, Sequino will oversee some of the company’s most prominent makeup brands, including MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Smashbox, and Glamglow. Her remit includes accelerating innovation, driving trend leadership, advancing consumer acquisition, and ensuring brand relevance across all regions and demographics.

She will report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, executive vice president and chief brand officer, and work closely with brand leadership teams across the division to drive performance, strengthen local relevance, and fast-track execution in key markets.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lisa as the new leader of our makeup cluster,” said Hudis. “She is a powerful leader with a strong record of driving brand and business results. Her unique combination of strategic and conceptual thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, and operational excellence makes her exceptionally well-suited to fast track our makeup cluster into its next phase of growth. Under Lisa’s leadership, we are focused on winning with today’s makeup consumer across generations, geographies, and channels.”

A respected industry leader with more than two decades of experience, Sequino returns to Estée Lauder with a combination of institutional knowledge and independent leadership. She previously spent nine years at the company in senior roles across its global and North American businesses, including as senior vice president and general manager of Estée Lauder North America, and later as senior vice president overseeing multiple brands across North America, where she managed a portfolio spanning skincare, makeup, and fragrance.

Following her tenure at Estée Lauder, Sequino served as CEO of JLo Beauty before taking the helm at Supergoop!, where she led the brand’s global expansion and sharpened its innovation strategy. Under her leadership, Supergoop! adopted a digital-first approach, launching category-defining products such as tinted moisturisers, lip balms, and setting powders that redefined SPF for modern consumers.

“I’m excited to return to The Estée Lauder Companies to help drive the next chapter of growth in the makeup category,” said Sequino. “There’s tremendous opportunity to reach new makeup consumers globally by accelerating innovation and trends, fast-tracking consumer acquisition across channels, driving digital and social media, and assuring local relevance to win with today’s makeup consumer. I look forward to partnering with the incredible teams behind MAC, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Smashbox, and Glamglow to unlock new opportunities, scale impact, and drive meaningful business results.”

Sequino will officially begin her new role on 9 June 2025.
