Good News, UK Curlies: Fix My Curls Has Arrived
Calling all curly-haired Brits: a new name in haircare has landed, so you may want to clear some space on that shower shelf.
It’s Fix My Curls, and it’s travelled from India to cater for waves, coils, and curls. And alongside its UK debut is a makeover: we’re talking new logo, fresh branding, and a lineup of ten products designed to be mixed and matched depending on what your hair is asking for.
The brand was founded in 2019 by a then 19-year-old Anshita Mehrotra, who was tired of searching for affordable products to treat her hair type — and failing.
The range is split into wash day, moisture, styling, and treatment, so building a routine is really not that complicated. If your strands are more greasy than glossy, the Cleansing Shampoo uses apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, and coconut extract to clear away build-up without stripping your curls. For mid-week washes, the creamier Everyday Moisturizing Shampoo is the gentler option.
The Hydrating Deep Conditioner is the overachiever. It’s a deep treatment, rinse-out, and leave-in all in one, with eight oils and two butters to help your comb glide through.
On the styling side, the Curl Quenching Flax Seed Gelly (and no, that’s not a typo) uses flax and chia seed extracts for soft hold without the crunch. Anyone after more volume should make a beeline for the Weightless Whip Volumizing Mousse, which blends rice protein, matcha green tea, and apple amino acids to give fullness while also fighting breakage. There’s also a Leave In Cream, a vegan Curl Quenching Hair Butter, and a Defining Hair Gel for longer-lasting definition.
Then we have the masks. There’s one for when your curls are parched, and one for when they’ve lost their bounce. The Moisture Melt Deep Conditioning Hair Mask is for dry or chemically treated curls, while the Protein Powered Deep Conditioning Hair Mask uses soy, wheat, and corn proteins to help strengthen fragile strands, according to the brand.
Fix My Curls is available now at amazon.co.uk and lookfantastic.com, with prices from £14.99. The brand doesn’t currently ship to the US.
