KYT Group Acquires Glo Skin Beauty

Glo Skin Beauty makeup

US professional skincare brand Glo Skin Beauty has been acquired by KYT Group and its institutional investment partners, signalling a new ownership chapter for the 25-year-old company.

Founded by a plastic surgeon and long aligned with dermatologists, aesthetic practitioners and makeup artists, Glo built its name inside clinics before clean beauty became industry shorthand. An early mover in mineral makeup, the brand introduced a full professional-grade complexion range at a time when performance and purity were rarely positioned side by side.

Today, its portfolio spans advanced corrective skincare and colour cosmetics, with chemical peels remaining central to its identity. Glo offers one of the sector’s more extensive collections of professional exfoliants, alongside what it describes as the first at-home peel system designed to prolong in-clinic results. The franchise targets concerns including acne, hyperpigmentation, and visible signs of ageing.

On the makeup front, triple-milled mineral bases are infused with antioxidants such as vitamins C and E and green tea extract, engineered to sit comfortably on post-treatment or sensitised skin. The Luminous Liquid Foundation SPF 18 — combining sun protection, skincare actives, and light-diffusing diamond powder — ranks among its bestsellers, as does the multi-use Cream Stay Shadow Stick. In skincare, products such as the Restorative Cream and Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator underscore the brand’s blend of active-led formulas and botanical support ingredients.

All products are vegan, cruelty-free and PETA-approved, formulated without talc, parabens, synthetic fragrance, phthalates or mineral oil — a positioning that aligns clinical performance with ingredient transparency.

Under the terms of the acquisition, KYT Group Co-Founder and Managing Partner Kurt Kober will assume the role of chief executive officer. Kober’s prior leadership experience includes senior roles at The Honest Company and Clorox. Michael Yanover, also Co-Founder and Managing Partner, joins the board, bringing beauty credentials that include early investment in Charlotte Tilbury and co-founding Haus Labs.

“We see Glo as a brand with strong foundations and meaningful opportunity ahead,” said Kober. “Glo already has deep professional credibility and a loyal following. Our focus is to sharpen those strengths, invest behind the categories where we have real authority, and build disciplined, sustainable growth. We believe professional expertise will define the next chapter of beauty.”
