Leighton Meester Leads Elizabeth Arden’s Fragrance Comeback

It’s been eight years since Elizabeth Arden last dropped a flagship fragrance, but the wait is officially over — and it’s brought a millennial icon along for the ride.

The heritage beauty brand has officially named actress Leighton Meester as its new global ambassador, stepping into the role as the face of Eternal Aura, a new floral amber Eau de Parfum.

While we’ll always have a soft spot for her days as Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, Meester has been busy carving out a massive cross-disciplinary career, from The CW’s Good Cop/Bad Cop to her upcoming role in Basic. Off-screen, the Eternal Aura partnership marks a beauty double tap for the 39-year-old. It’s her second big ambassadorship in just six months, following her recent debut as the face of skincare brand Bubble.

“I’ve been a fan of Elizabeth Arden since I was a little girl, and being part of such an iconic brand for the launch of Eternal Aura feels like a full-circle moment,” said Meester. “This campaign is all about recognizing and celebrating the stage of life you’re in right now. It’s not about striving for perfection but about honoring the strength, confidence, and beauty you’ve cultivated through everything you’ve achieved. Eternal Aura is the kind of perfume that instantly lifts your mood and reminds you of your strength.”

Created by Senior Perfumer Natasha Côté-Mouzannar and Master Perfumer Anne Flipo, Eternal Aura sits firmly in the world of functional fragrance — doing more than just smelling good. It utilises IFF’s Science of Wellness technology, blending natural ingredients shown to support energy, confidence, and happiness.

The fragrance opens with bright and juicy notes of dragon fruit, golden pear, and pink pepper, before melting into a soft floral heart of magnolia and peony. Sandalwood, musk, and tonka ground the blend for a warm, lingering finish.

For scent layering, the brand is also launching an Eternal Aura Body Balm. It’s a nourishing cream designed to help with skin elasticity while making sure the scent lingers all day long.
