Cult British Skincare Brand Medik8 Is Finally Landing at Sephora US
Cult British clinical skincare brand Medik8 is finally heading to Sephora stores across the US, marking the brand’s first large-scale brick-and-mortar retail partnership in the country.
Until now, American fans have had to shop Medik8’s science-led formulas online or through approved clinics, but from August, they’ll be able to browse and buy the brand in person as it rolls out to 250 Sephora stores nationwide.
The launch marks a major milestone in Medik8’s North American growth strategy and follows L’Oréal’s acquisition of a majority stake in the brand in 2025, providing additional resources to help scale Medik8 while maintaining the research-first approach that has defined it since its founding.
“American consumers are more informed than ever about skincare ingredients and increasingly expect clinically proven performance, not marketing promises,” said Simon Coble, Chief Executive Officer of Medik8. “That shift aligns directly with how Medik8 has built the brand from day one. Sephora’s understanding of its skincare client and unmatched scale make it the ideal partner to bring our research-led approach to a broader audience. Our ambition is to establish Medik8 as one of Sephora’s top 10 skincare brands over the next three to five years.”
A key focus of the launch is Crystal Retinal, which Medik8 hopes will become its leading franchise in the US, mirroring its success in the brand’s other global markets. According to independent market research by Kline & Company, Crystal Retinal was the world’s top-selling retinal serum in 2025. It’s also the hero product behind Medik8’s signature CSA Philosophy: vitamin C and sunscreen by day, followed by vitamin A (retinal) by night, a simple, evidence-based routine designed to address up to 90% of visible skin ageing concerns.
“Our clients at Sephora are becoming savvier and more knowledgeable in how they shop skincare to address their individualized beauty needs,” said Brooke Banwart, SVP Skincare Merchandising at Sephora US. “As consumers increasingly seek expert-backed, professional-grade formulations, we’re excited to partner with Medik8 as a part of our clinical skincare assortment, which continues to see strong consumer demand. Medik8 delivers high-performance skincare powered by results-driven ingredients, which we know will resonate with our Sephora community.”
Every Medik8 product is researched, developed, and manufactured at the brand’s Innovation Centre outside London, giving the company end-to-end oversight across formulation, production, and quality control.
Medik8 launches on sephora.com on 11 August before arriving in 250 Sephora stores across the US by 21 August. UK shoppers can already shop the brand at Space NK and lookfantastic.com.
