M&S is expanding its wellness offering with &Sleep, its new in-house brand designed to help women feel more rested and restored. Rooted in simplicity and efficacy, the range centres on the idea that better sleep sits at the heart of modern wellbeing.

The launch arrives as sleep cements its status as the top wellness priority for women in the UK. From demanding schedules and financial pressures to stress and family responsibilities, everyday life is increasingly cutting into quality R&R and reshaping what consumers are looking for from their evening routines.

Developed following a survey of 1,000 UK women, the &Sleep range responds to a clear appetite for calming rituals, effective skincare, and everyday products that genuinely deliver. According to the research, 53% of women name better sleep as their number-one wellness goal, far outpacing other health and self-care ambitions.

The findings also underline just how elusive rest has become. A “busy brain” emerged as the biggest barrier to sleep, with overthinking keeping more than half of respondents awake at night. Stress and anxiety were also cited as major contributors, particularly among women aged 35–44, who reported the highest levels of sleep disruption. Even with growing awareness around rest and self-care, only one in five women say they manage to prioritise their wellbeing daily. Time constraints, financial concerns, and family responsibilities remain the biggest obstacles. When self-care does happen, it is most often just before bed — positioning the evening routine as a key moment to unwind.

That insight shapes the nine-piece &Sleep collection, which centres on building a restorative bedtime ritual. Hero products include the Cloud Nine Pillow Mist, Soft Focus Body Oil, and Cocoon Body Butter. Infused with soothing lavender and geranium essential oils, the formulas are clinically proven to support relaxation and better sleep. In consumer trials conducted with 104 users over three days, 86% said the products helped settle their minds, 82% experienced deep relaxation, and 73% reported improved sleep quality from the very first night.

&Sleep launches on 26 December and will be available in M&S stores and online at marksandspencer.com. The collection will be exclusive to the UK.
