UK Hourglass fans, take note. Carisa Janes, the founder behind the cult makeup brand, is bringing her newest beauty ventures, Outside In and Nature of Things, to British beauty shelves. Her retailer of choice? Liberty London.

Both brands will open dedicated counters in the store’s Beauty Hall. The moment will be full-circle for Janes, as Liberty was where Hourglass launched in the UK over a decade ago.

“Liberty has a special place in my history. It was where we first introduced Hourglass to the UK in 2011, so returning with Outside In and Nature of Things feels particularly meaningful,” Janes said. “Liberty has always championed creativity, individuality and discovery, making it a natural home for both brands.”

Outside In is a makeup, skincare, and fragrance brand, while Nature of Things leans more into wellbeing, with plant-based essentials for body, hair, and the home. The sister brands already share a New York flagship in SoHo, though it’s more of a concept store, complete with a café and a hidden garden. The Liberty counters will take their design cues from it, with Outside In’s inspired by light and Nature of Things’ by the natural world.

Expect Outside In’s counter to be pared back and light-filled, with natural stone throughout. There’ll be custom vanities, too, with built-in lighting designed for accurate shade matching and makeup consultations. It will showcase the brand’s hero, the Silk Serum Foundation, a serum-foundation hybrid with a weightless finish. Sitting alongside it will be the new Precision Lift Lengthening Mascara, a tubing formula designed to lift and define. The counter will also introduce Outside In’s first fragrances, exclusive to Liberty. There are three nature-inspired eaux de parfum, housed in beautiful translucent crystal orbs that glow on the shelf.

The Nature of Things counter will bring the bathroom to the Beauty Hall, with a custom shower installation and a working sink, so shoppers can get up close and personal with the brand’s bodycare. Products are made with a high concentration of plant-based and natural-origin ingredients, and are formulated to be gentle enough for the whole family.

Outside In and Nature of Things launch exclusively at Liberty London on 23 November, in store and at libertylondon.com.
