Dermatologist-developed skincare brand Remedy has closed a $20 million Series A funding round led by consumer-focused private equity firm L Catterton.

The investment round also saw participation from new investor Sonoma Brands Capital alongside existing investor Norwest, which previously led the company’s seed round. The fresh capital injection will be used to scale Remedy’s operations, fund clinical research, expand its product pipeline, and build out its team. The brand also intends to bolster its inventory depth to support its current retail channels.

Founded in March 2024 by board-certified dermatologist Dr Muneeb Shah, Remedy was launched with an emphasis on consumer education and clinical formulation. The brand’s product range targets common dermatological concerns such as dark spots, dryness, fine lines, dullness, keratosis pilaris, and sensitive skin.

Since its debut, the business has grown its footprint across direct-to-consumer digital channels, Amazon, and TikTok Shop. It also expanded into brick-and-mortar retail via a nationwide US launch in Target in December 2025.

“For years, I saw patients who were doing everything right but still struggling to find products that delivered meaningful results without irritation or unnecessary complexity. Remedy was created to modernize dermatologist-developed skincare,” said Shah, who serves as chief executive officer of the brand. “Each formula starts with a real patient need. We then innovate with the latest ingredient technologies to create clinically tested, high-efficacy formulas with a focus on visible results and safety for sensitive skin.”

For L Catterton, which manages approximately $40 billion in equity capital, the round adds to an extensive beauty portfolio that includes Merit Beauty, Tula, Oddity, Kopari, and Elemis.

“We seek to partner with exceptional founders building brands that will redefine categories, and we believe Remedy is uniquely modernizing dermatological skincare,” said Tehmina Haider, partner at L Catterton. “As both a clinician and a consumer educator, Dr Shah has built a portfolio of simple, effective, and accessibly priced products that leverage advanced ingredient technologies to address real patient needs — and that is what will define the next generation of dermocosmetics.”

Remedy is available at remedyskin.com, shipping to both the UK and US.
