Seed to Skin Takes Over The Newt Spa
Italian skincare brand Seed to Skin Tuscany has taken over the entire treatment menu at The Newt Spa in Somerset, marking the brand’s first dedicated spa in the UK.
For those unfamiliar, Seed to Skin was founded on the Borgo Santo Pietro estate in Tuscany by herbalist Jeanette Thottrup, alongside an expert lineup of scientists, botanists, growers, and formulators. What sets the brand apart is its completely in-house approach — every formula is grown, extracted, and bottled in its own Tuscan laboratory through what it calls Green Molecular Science, which pairs natural botanicals with high-tech biotechnology to support long-term skin health.
Now, those exact formulations are taking centre stage in Somerset. The menu features a tailored edit of glowing facials, including The Deeply Hydrating, The Restorative, and The Purifying treatments. There is also The Reverse Signature, an intensive sculpting treatment that begins with the brand’s detoxifying Black Magic Mask to resurface dull skin, followed by manual lifting work using gua sha and myofascial massage, and finished with a chilling cryotherapy flush to fire up circulation for a glass-skin finish.
Bodycare gets equal attention. Dry, tired skin can find its remedy in The Wild Bloom Body Ritual, a head-to-toe pampering session that kicks off with a sea salt scrub rich in natural minerals to buff away dullness. Therapists then follow with a soothing massage tailored with bespoke botanical oils, topping it off with a refreshing cryotherapy facial touch that leaves you completely soft, supple, and glowing. Guests can also choose from other targeted body protocols, including The Jet Lag Remedy, The Cocoon, The Scalp Renew, and The Mother to Be.
Beyond the treatment menu, the location is just as much a part of the story. The Newt feels like an apt home for Seed to Skin’s first British luxury country estate partnership. Set across 2,000 acres of gardens, woodland, farmland, and historic buildings, the estate has become one of the UK’s most sought-after wellness destinations, holding Three Michelin Keys, Condé Nast Traveller’s top ranking for UK hotels outside London, and the title of World’s Best Boutique Hotel. Alongside Seed to Skin’s treatments, guests can also make the most of the indoor-outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, salt chamber, and Medieval Herb Garden.
“This partnership with The Newt in Somerset is rooted in a shared respect for place, heritage, and the beauty of the natural world,” said Thottrup. “It offers a setting that allows Seed to Skin to be expressed as it was intended, where the integrity of the land meets advanced science, and where skincare becomes part of a deeper, holistic experience.”
Seed to Skin’s treatment menu is now available at The Newt Spa, where it can be experienced exclusively by hotel guests and members booking a spa day.
