T3 Names Anne-Cécile Brilland CEO
Beauty industry veteran Anne-Cécile Brilland is taking the helm at T3 as the hair tools brand’s new chief executive officer.
Brilland steps into the role to drive the brand’s next phase of global expansion and product development, working directly alongside co-founders Dr Julie Chung and Kent Yu.
She moves over from IGK Hair, where she was president. During her time there, Brilland oversaw a period of growth, particularly across major retail channels including Ulta Beauty, SalonCentric, and TikTok Shop. With over two decades of experience scaling premium brands across the digital, consumer, and professional beauty sectors, her CV also includes stints at major luxury conglomerates LVMH and L’Occitane Group.
“Anne-Cécile is a visionary leader with an exceptional understanding of modern beauty brands and the evolving consumer landscape,” said Chung. “She deeply understands how to scale a business while preserving the creativity, innovation, and emotional connection that make a brand truly special. As T3 enters this next chapter, we are thrilled to welcome her leadership, perspective, and passion for building enduring brands.”
The appointment comes as the Los Angeles-founded business marks 22 years in operation. The brand’s origins can be traced back to a prototype hair dryer Yu built for Chung, who was looking for a faster way to dry her hair before medical school classes. That early design would eventually become the T3 Featherweight dryer, which launched in 2004.
Two decades on from that initial launch, the business has established a major global retail footprint. Distribution is currently anchored by major retailers including Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta Beauty, and Amazon.
With Brilland now at the helm, the company expects to lean heavily into her background across the consumer, professional, and digital landscapes to expand its current global omnichannel strategy.
“I have long admired T3 for its commitment to innovation, design, and performance, and for the way the brand transformed hair tools into true beauty essentials,” said Brilland. “T3 has built an incredible legacy over the past two decades, and I am honored to join the company at such an exciting moment. I look forward to working alongside Julie, Kent, and the talented T3 team to continue driving innovation, deepening our connection with consumers, and expanding the brand’s global impact.”
