Versace Names Channing Tatum the New Face of Eros Fragrances
Versace has announced Channing Tatum as the new face of its Eros fragrances.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Chief Creative Officer Donatella Versace expressed her passion for the partnership, stating, “I am so thrilled that @channingtatum will star in the Versace Eros fragrances campaign next month. loved working with Channing for this shoot. Not only does he look amazing, he also put his heart into this campaign. He shows strength and power and is also one of the kindest and most charming men I have met. He defines modern masculinity. The perfect Versace man. There is no one better to embody Eros.”
This campaign introduces Channing Tatum as a new ambassador for Versace, further deepening his longstanding relationship with Donatella Versace. A loyal fan of the label, Tatum has frequently worn Versace at high-profile events, including his recent film promotion for “Fly Me to the Moon,” co-starring Scarlett Johansson, which revisits the 1960s Space Race and Apollo 11’s historic moon landing.
Reflecting on his new role, Tatum told WWD, “When I started modeling in the 2000s, Versace was the brand I always wanted to work with but never did, so this campaign feels extra special and personal to me. The Versace name has such a strong meaning to so many around the world, and to be a part of that legacy is a real privilege. Donatella is a true icon and friend and I am so excited to see the reaction to what we’ve created together.”
Launched in 2012 and named after the Greek god of love, the initial Eros fragrance was inspired by founder Gianni Versace’s passion for Greek history. Since its debut, the fragrance, created by leading perfumer Aurélien Guichard, has expanded into a fragrance family that includes several flankers and spin-off scents, the most recent being Eros Energy.
Tatum’s new Eros campaign will launch on the 6th of August, accompanied by a short film, and new eau de parfum flanker that will join the fragrance line.
