Huda Beauty Drops First Powder Bronzer
Huda Beauty is adding a powder bronzer to its lineup for the first time, and it’s gone all in. The Bronze Filter Palette packs four shades into one compact: a contour, a true bronzer, a rosier sun-kissed bronzer, and a bronzing melange for radiance. You can wear them individually, swirl all four together for an all-over glow, or layer them using what Huda calls the ‘Bronze Blueprint’ for a more sculpted finish. The palette comes in five versions to suit different skin tones. Launching alongside it is a dual-ended brush, with a fluffy angled end for bronzing and a pinched tip for more precise contouring.
Glow Recipe and Buldak Collaborate
Glow Recipe has found an unlikely partner in Buldak, the Korean spicy ramyeon brand with a cult following. Together they’ve created a limited-edition pair of tinted Glass Balms, each inspired by one of Buldak’s sauce flavours. Original is a warm brick shade with a tingly kick that the brand says visibly plumps lips, while Carbonara is a soft cherry blossom pink with a creamy finish. Both share the formula of Glow Recipe’s regular Glass Balms, including hyaluronic microspheres, ceramides, and pink pepper berry. Each set also comes with a keychain featuring Peppo, Buldak’s new chick mascot. US shoppers can get the duo now at glowrecipe.com, but those in the UK will have to wait until 1 November when it lands at Sephora.
Amelia Gray Fronts Cymbiotika’s Peptide Campaign
Cymbiotika is leaning into beauty-ad clichés to sell its new Liposomal Beauty Peptide Complex. The campaign, Hot Girls Sip Peptides, stars model Amelia Gray, a long-time fan of the brand, and follows her through a series of glossy daily routines while ingredients and clinical claims pop up on screen beside her. It puts the science people usually skim right in the middle of the action. The raspberry-flavoured supplement combines Verisol collagen peptides, hyaluronic acid, zinc, and copper, among other ingredients, and Cymbiotika says it supports hair, skin, and nails with consistent daily use. It’s available in the US at Target and amazon.com, and is soon to launch in the UK.
Jennifer Lawrence Teases Haircare Brand
Jennifer Lawrence is the latest star to get into haircare. The Oscar winner has teamed up with Boston biotech company Arcaea on Mes°, which arrives on 27 October. Details are scarce so far. There are no products, prices, or retailers yet, just a sign-up page billing it as ‘Biodesigned Haircare’. Arcaea is the more intriguing half of the partnership. Founded by MIT-trained chemical engineer Jasmina Aganovic, it grows beauty ingredients using fermentation and biological engineering, and counts Chanel and Olaplex among its investors. Dr Sheila Farhang Launches Dose (Of) Derm
Dermatologist Dr Sheila Farhang has turned years of patient feedback into a makeup line. Her new brand, Dose (Of) Derm, is built around what she calls ‘Clinical Color Cosmetics’ — makeup with proper coverage that’s also packed with skincare ingredients. She says patients kept telling her skin tints were too sheer and foundations too heavy, and her own experience with postpartum melasma made it personal. First up is the All-in-One Clinical Foundation, which pairs buildable coverage and mineral SPF 45 with peptides, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and plant-derived exosomes. It’s out now at doseofderm.com.
Martha Stewart Joins Stars + Honey as Chief Taste Officer
Stars + Honey has appointed Martha Stewart as its first Chief Taste Officer. She’ll work with the brand’s in-house culinary team to taste and shape new flavours. Founded in Michigan in 2023 by Daniel Rainey, Stars + Honey was built on the idea that you shouldn’t have to choose between flavour and decent ingredients. According to the company, each of its collagen protein bars contains 15g of protein and grass-fed bovine collagen peptides. Read the full story here.
