CellDerma Unveils a Gentler Retinoid Serum

CellDerma’s new Retin-ACE Resurfacing Night Serum is aimed at anyone who’s struggled with the redness and flaking that often come with retinol. It uses hydroxypinacolone retinoate, or HPR, a type of retinoid that works directly on the skin without needing to be converted first, which is why it tends to be gentler than traditional retinol. It’s paired with four antioxidants, squalane, and soothing bisabolol, and the brand says it targets everything from fine lines and pigmentation to enlarged pores and breakouts.

Ziip Launches Its First Skincare Range

Ziip, the brand best known for its microcurrent facial devices, has moved into skincare. The new range — available now at ziipbeauty.co.uk — is built on the idea that skin has its own electrical environment, and the brand says it’s formulated each product to work with that, helping ingredients absorb better. There are nine products in total: a daily exfoliating cleanser, plus a serum and moisturiser for each of four concerns — firming, breakouts, dryness, and dullness. Each formula pairs a familiar active, like retinol, salicylic acid, or niacinamide, with a newer ingredient designed to boost its effects, which Ziip says means it can use lower percentages and cause less irritation.

Perrie Sian Teams Up With Rehab

Content creator Perrie Sian has spent the past few years sharing her hair regrowth journey with her 3.6 million followers, and now she’s turned it into a collection. Created with haircare brand Rehab, the seven-piece Rescue & Revive range covers everything from scalp to lengths. The standout is a pre-wash hair oil made with rosemary, pumpkin, and black seed oils, which the brand says helps support the look of thicker, stronger hair. There’s also a heat protection spray, a smoothing stick and slick-back brush for sleek buns, plus limited-edition versions of Rehab’s lash and brow serum and under-eye patches. The collection launches on Sunday 18 October, exclusively at rehabyourhair.com.

Cadence Drops Its Long-Awaited Pump

Cadence, the brand behind those sleek magnetic travel capsules, has launched The Pump, and fans have been waiting a while for this one. The brand says it’s been requested by its community since 2020, and it took six years and more than 1,000 versions to get right. Designed to fit Cadence’s Medium and Large Capsules, it’s made for decanting body oil, lotion, shampoo, and sunscreen for travel. A coiled tube stretches to reach the bottom of the capsule, and a twist-and-lock design with a magnetic cap means it won’t go off in your bag. The Pump is available now at keepyourcadence.com.

Will 2027 Be the Year of Surgery Over Tweakments?

After years of filler top-ups and regular injectable appointments, cosmetic surgeon Dr Paul Banwell of Pantheons thinks more people are about to rethink the endless cycle. He predicts that in 2027, patients in their 40s and 50s will increasingly ask whether one well-planned surgical procedure could deliver better long-term results, particularly for the lower face and neck. That’s not to say tweakments are going anywhere, but he says they can’t do what surgery does when skin has lost a lot of firmness or structure. What patients want from surgery is shifting too, with Banwell expecting good results to be judged by how hard it is to tell someone has had anything done at all.

Aora Named a Time Best Invention

Mexico City-based makeup brand Aora has landed a spot on Time’s Best Inventions list, thanks to its completely plastic-free packaging. Instead of plastic, its products come in aluminium, tin, and wood, all designed to be recycled or reused, and it was the first fully plastic-free makeup brand to launch at Sephora. It goes a step further too, funding the recovery of nine times the weight of each product in plastic waste, with the brand saying its customers have helped clear more than 2,390kg so far. Founded in 2022 by Nour Tayara and Rodrigo Peñafiel, Aora also leans into its roots, with Spanish product names and Mexican ingredients like chilli, tepezcohuite, and cactus flower.
