Beekman 1802 Enters Haircare

Milk Therapy Collection

Beekman 1802 has long been synonymous with sensitive skin expertise and the restorative powers of goat milk. Now, the brand is taking that same science-led approach beyond skincare and into haircare with the launch of Milk Therapy, its first collection dedicated to hair and scalp.

Founded by Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge, Beekman 1802 began almost by accident. After relocating from New York City to a historic farm in Sharon Springs, NY, the pair started experimenting with goat milk soap at their kitchen table. What began as a simple act of neighbourly kindness soon evolved into a beauty movement rooted in science and community. Locals who tried the soap shared stories of relief from eczema, rosacea, and other sensitivities, and word quickly spread. From this modest beginning, the founders pursued a deeper exploration into the science behind goat milk. The result was a global brand built on the clinically proven benefits of A2 goat milk proteins, now recognised as the world’s largest goat milk–based skincare company.

Milk Therapy feels like a natural next chapter for the brand: translating its skincare expertise into hair health. Having ventured into fragrance in 2024 with the debut of its Milk Shake Moisture Mist, the brand is continuing to diversify while remaining true to its ethos: clinically kind products powered by goat milk. With consumers increasingly focused on scalp health alongside hair benefits, the arrival of Milk Therapy comes at a moment when the lines between skincare and haircare are more blurred than ever.

The collection is designed for those dealing with the cumulative effects of hair stress — dryness, dullness, breakage, and sensitivity. Just as the skin has its own microbiome, the scalp does too, and when unbalanced, it can lead to irritation and weakened strands. Milk Therapy addresses these concerns with a three-step routine: the Peptide Shampoo, Peptide Conditioner, and Peptide Leave-In Treatment. Formulas feature a trio of high-performing ingredients: A2 goat milk proteins to reduce scalp inflammation and boost keratin production, a biomimetic Brazilian peptide complex to strengthen and repair bonds, and hydrolysed collagen to enhance shine and smoothness without weighing hair down.

Each product is fragranced with a fresh blend of honeydew and mandarin, creating a light, uplifting scent that makes haircare feel like a daily reset. In keeping with Beekman 1802’s values, the range is dermatologist-tested, cruelty-free, and formulated without sulphates or parabens, making it safe for both sensitive scalps and colour-treated hair.

The Milk Therapy collection is available now at beekman1802.com, shipping across both the UK and US, and priced from £24 to £26 ($29 to $32).
