Charli XCX Is YSL Beauty’s Newest Ambassador
YSL Beauty has named Charli XCX as its newest US Local Ambassador, joining Amelia Gray, Lila Moss, and Laura Harrier.
After shifting the global zeitgeist with her Grammy-winning Brat era, the singer-songwriter has been anything but conventional, seamlessly moving between major film roles, a rock rebrand, and a cinematic soundtrack for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights. With her signature grunge-glam aesthetic, the multi-hyphenate perfectly embodies YSL’s new era of beauty — young, edgy, and unapologetic.

In her first role as ambassador, Charli XCX stars in a cinematic campaign shot by acclaimed director Renell Medrano. Her makeup was crafted by YSL Beauty’s Sam Visser, who used the brand’s new Skin Affair Soft Glow Cushion Foundation to achieve the pop star’s luminous complexion. A complete reinvention of the classic smoky eye finished the look.

Skin Affair Soft Glow Cushion Foundation is a lightweight, medium-coverage foundation infused with skin-loving ingredients such as 3% squalane, polyglutamic acid, and jasmine petals. The buildable formula covers, hydrates, and blurs for that real-life filter effect.
The new foundation launches globally on 29 May.
