Cheval Blanc Opening Resort & Spa in the Seychelles
LVMH Hotel Management is set to expand its portfolio of premium Cheval Blanc hotels with the opening of Cheval Blanc Seychelles, a new luxury beachfront resort and spa. This addition will mark the sixth property under the Cheval Blanc name, joining esteemed locations in Paris, Courchevel, Saint Tropez, St Barts, and The Maldives.
Located on the southwestern coast of Mahé Island, along the pristine Anse Intendance beach, Cheval Blanc Seychelles was designed by renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy to pay homage to creole traditions and the nature that surrounds the resort.
The resort, formerly home to Banyan Tree Seychelles, is undergoing a complete redevelopment ahead of Cheval Blanc’s launch. The property will feature 52 luxurious villas, each boasting its own private swimming pool and offering a choice of beachfront, hillside, or tropical jungle views.
An array of dining experiences will be on offer, courtesy of five distinctive restaurants. These include Mizumi, set by a lake and offering Asian cuisine; Vivamento, an Italian eatery facing the pool; Sula, a Mediterranean beach club by the ocean; and the brand’s signature French gastronomic restaurant, Le 1947, and the cosmopolitan Le White.
At the heart of the resort will be Spa Cheval Blanc, a luxury spa offering treatments from Guerlain, the beauty brand currently residing in four Cheval Blanc spas, including Saint Tropez, St Barts, The Maldives, and Courchevel. The Seychelles spa will feature a pool, fitness room, surf simulator, and two tennis and padel courts. For the younger guests, the Carrousel kids’ club will provide a safe space for adventure and nature discovery.
Beyond the amenities, Cheval Blanc Seychelles will curate personalised local experiences and excursions, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of the Seychelles.
Cheval Blanc Seychelles is due to open in autumn 2024.
