FaceGym Secures Investment to Power Global Expansion

FaceGym, the facial fitness studio and skincare brand, is set to enter its next phase of international growth, following a strategic minority investment from Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL). The move will see the British brand’s non-invasive facial workouts, tools, and skincare rolled out across India via dedicated studios and curated spaces within select Tira stores — the premium beauty retail platform owned by Reliance Retail.
The partnership marks a significant step in Reliance Retail’s wider strategy to grow its premium beauty portfolio, with Tira set to lead FaceGym’s expansion across key cities over the next five years. For FaceGym, it presents a major opportunity to reach a new, experience-driven consumer base in one of the world’s most dynamic beauty markets.
“This is an incredibly exciting moment for the brand,” said Angelo Castello, CEO of FaceGym. “With our current strategic partnerships, we’re in a powerful position to turn FaceGym into one of the only beauty services with a truly global footprint. This partnership with a leading conglomerate like Reliance will be a catalyst for our expansion into India, a dynamic, high-growth market with huge potential.”

Founded by beauty entrepreneur Inge Theron, FaceGym is widely credited with pioneering a new approach that blends elements of skincare, wellness, and fitness. Its signature workouts combine massage-based muscle stimulation and EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) with performance skincare to lift, tone, and sculpt the face — offering both immediate and long-term results. Since launching in Selfridges in 2014, the brand has grown a loyal global following, with flagships in London, New York, and Los Angeles.
Bhakti Modi, Co-founder and CEO of Tira, added: “At Reliance Retail, our commitment is to introduce world-class brands and innovative concepts and experiences to the Indian consumer. FaceGym sits at the unique intersection of beauty, wellness, and fitness – creating a category of its own. This aligns perfectly with the discerning beauty consumer in India who is experience-oriented, and increasingly drawn to science-backed, innovative concepts.”
As FaceGym continues to scale globally, its entry into India signals not only the brand’s rising international ambitions, but also a broader evolution in the country’s beauty sector.
