From multi-step skincare routines to scalp serums, we’ve overhauled almost every corner of our beauty regimens. The at-home manicure, however, hasn’t changed all that much in the last few decades. But new nail care brand Fyle is here to change that. And it wants to shift the focus away from cutting and removing cuticles and towards actually caring for them.

Founded by Isabelle Magkoeva, Fyle has been developed alongside nail technicians and is built around the idea that the cuticle should be protected, not routinely snipped away. Its blade-free and heat-free File Manicure Method removes dry, dead skin while leaving the nail’s natural protective barrier intact.

“We’ve completely changed the way we care for our skin and hair, but nail care hasn’t evolved in the same way. Many manicure routines still focus on removing or overworking the cuticle, despite the important role it plays in protecting the nail,” said Magkoeva. “We never set out to replace professional manicures — we wanted to create something that works alongside them. Fyle gives people the tools and knowledge to care for their nails between appointments or confidently at home, helping them build healthier habits without compromising on beautiful results.”

Selected products can be bought separately, but if you’d prefer the full routine in one place, Fyle offers two at-home sets: The Kit and The Complete Kit. Both are suitable for different nail types and levels of experience, with the entire manicure designed to take just five minutes.

Inside each set, you’ll find The Core, an ergonomic reusable handle, plus a Cuticle Pusher, replaceable Filing Strips made from coastal quartz sand, and ultra-fine Buff Pads for smoothing the skin around the nails. There’s also a fragrance-free Cuticle Sealing Balm made with coconut, olive, and sunflower oils, candelilla wax, and vitamin E, along with a step-by-step tutorial explaining how to use everything.

The Complete Kit includes all of the above and adds The Shiner, a buffing attachment with a micro-coating designed to leave bare nails with a glossy finish — no polish required.

Fyle is available online at fyle.io, with shipping to the UK and US. Prices start at £10.99 ($14.90).
