The Founders of iS Clinical Just Launched Icon Skincare
Love a complex skincare routine that requires PhD-level knowledge to navigate? Then look away. Icon Skincare is the newest brand to enter the beauty space, and it’s taking high-performance skincare and making it refreshingly simple.
Founded by industry experts Bryan Johns and Alec Call — the duo behind A-list-approved cosmeceutical brand iS Clinical — Icon Skincare builds on more than two decades of clinical and scientific knowledge with a line that prioritises clarity over complexity and works in harmony with your skin’s natural function.
But the real appeal? The entire line is influenced by Hollywood beauty history. Icon Skincare was born after the rediscovery of Madam Renna, a pioneering facialist of Hollywood’s Golden Age who treated the iconic faces of Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, and countless other silver-screen stars. Renna was famous for her custom formulas, her husband Dr Campbell’s ‘bloodless facelift’ technique, and her signature use of royal jelly. Icon Skincare has taken these time-honoured secrets, modernised them, and paired them with advanced science to create the ultimate skincare comeback.
“Icon is a natural extension of our mission — to help people live their best lives in their best skin,” said Johns, president and CEO of Innovative Skincare. “We developed Icon to bring joy to the journey of discovering the inner Icon in everyone. We all have the ability to be iconic in our own right, which begins with confidence and focusing on what is right with us, rather than what is ‘wrong’. We truly want people to awaken their ‘Icon Energy’, the type of confidence you can only achieve by turning your best face to the world.”
The nine-piece debut collection covers the foundations of great skin: cleansing, resurfacing, hydration, and brightening. The formulas are powered by signature blends of sustainably sourced botanicals, antioxidants, and innovative acid combinations, with royal jelly taking centre stage to nourish the skin and deliver a radiant glow.
As for hero products, it’s too early to tell, but we’re predicting sell-out status for The Icon Cream – Reinvented and Take One Cleansing Honey.
The Icon Cream – Reinvented
This heavy-hitting cream wraps skin in a rich, buttery mix of royal jelly, honey, propolis, shea butter, and olive oil extract. If you want a complexion that looks seriously juicy, bouncy, and properly moisturised, this is the product to try. Slather a layer on before bed or use it morning and night if your skin is on the drier side.
Take One Cleansing Honey
This golden, honey-rich cleanser dissolves daily dirt and makeup while leaving your skin calm and soft. It uses a mix of royal jelly, propolis, green tea, and willow bark to gently clear out pores and soothe redness at the same time. Expect your skin to be fresh, glowing, and ready for sleep (or the rest of your routine).
Icon Skincare is now available exclusively at iconskincare.com, with prices ranging from $32 to $68. British shoppers may have to wait a little longer, as the brand is keeping tight-lipped about a UK launch date.
