Nourrir Haircare Launches
Meet Nourrir, the new haircare brand harnessing the power of prebiotics and probiotics to transform scalp health, strengthen roots, and promote healthy hair growth. By treating the scalp with the same care as facial skincare, Nourrir has set out to redefine haircare by focusing on the often-overlooked foundation of strong, vibrant hair: the scalp’s microbiome.
“The scalp is the final frontier of skincare, and a healthy scalp is vital to healthy hair. Yet it is often overlooked when it comes to our daily hair care regimen,” Nourrir founder Sean Peters told BeautyNewsDaily. “By feeding the scalp’s microbiome, balancing its pH, and feeding the roots, we can create an ideal environment for growing strong, healthy hair that doesn’t break.”
With over 20 years of experience developing haircare products in the beauty industry, Peters recognised that most haircare launches took a reactive approach—targeting issues like lack of volume, shine, or heat damage rather than addressing the root cause.
“Seeing how prebiotics and probiotics worked on the skin, I set out to understand how this could be introduced into scalp and wider hair care,” he explains. “I focused on formulating products that nourish and strengthen hair while promoting growth, that are luxurious yet suitable for everyday use, and that feel enjoyable rather than purely functional or treatment-led.”
This belief in proactive, rather than reactive, haircare is at the heart of Nourrir. While traditional scalp solutions offer only short-term relief, Nourrir takes a holistic, long-term approach, addressing existing concerns while preventing future issues by maintaining a balanced, resilient scalp microbiome. Its advanced formulations regulate pH levels, fortify hair follicles, and shield against environmental stressors like pollution and humidity, as well as external aggressors such as chemical treatments and heat styling. Harnessing the power of both science and nature, Nourrir blends lab-derived actives like Scalposine and Kerascalp with natural extracts—including upcycled pink berry waste, pineapple enzyme, chia seed oil, and ginseng—to restore and strengthen the scalp’s foundations.
“By adopting a preventative approach, we empower consumers to maintain healthy, vibrant hair before issues arise,” explains Peters. “We have developed a range of products that form part of your regular haircare regime, smell fantastic, and make sure your hair always looks its best.”
The brand’s debut collection features five meticulously formulated products designed to optimise scalp health, reduce breakage, and enhance shine while alleviating concerns like itching, flakiness, and irritation. Staying true to its ‘skincare as haircare’ philosophy, each product delivers the same high-performance protection and nourishment as premium skincare. The range includes an On Balance Soothing Serum, Prep Glycolic Scrub, Root Cause Nourishing Serum, Root Cause Cleanser, and Root Cause Conditioner, all free from parabens, SLS, and sulphates to ensure a gentle yet effective approach that works in harmony with the scalp’s natural ecosystem.
Beyond performance, Nourrir transforms scalp care into an enjoyable ritual. Unlike conventional treatments with clinical or medicinal scents, the brand’s signature fragrance features top notes of orange, apple, and pineapple; a heart of coconut, ozonic, and white flowers; and a rich base of caramel, orange flower, and white musk.
Nourrir products start at £23 and are available online at nourrirhair.com. Information regarding a US launch is yet to be announced.
