Reome Lands Over £1.1M in Seed Funding
British biotech skincare brand Reome has successfully raised over £1.1 million in its first seed funding round, led by Tom Singh OBE’s family office, Rianta Capital. The funds will drive Reome’s expansion into global markets and support the development of new products, as the brand continues to disrupt the skincare industry with its science-led, sustainable approach.
Founded in January 2023 by former beauty editor and consultant Joanna Ellner, Reome launched with the Active Recovery Broth, a bio-fermented formula designed to revitalise stressed skin. Since then, the brand has expanded its product range and established a strong foothold in the prestige beauty sector, with its products available at renowned retailers such as Space NK, Liberty, Moda Operandi, and Formula Fig.
Ellner’s vision is to position Reome at the forefront of the biotech beauty movement. “When I discovered the full potential of biotechnology, and what it could do for our skin, I made it our mission to bring it to life through Reome,” Ellner explained. “This round of investment enables us to bring that message of supreme efficacy to a broader audience, grow an unparalleled assortment of hero formulas, and bolster our internal team with world-class talent.”
Looking ahead, Reome has an ambitious pipeline of 21 product launches, including its most significant release to date – a pioneering biotech formula developed in collaboration with L’Oréal-backed biotech lab Debut, set to launch in January 2025.
“I invested in Reome because its science-driven, sustainable approach to skincare will play a pivotal role in the future of the industry,” Singh explained. “Joanna’s expertise and passion for creating natural, high-performance formulations gives me belief in the brand’s long-term potential and innovative vision.”
The capital raised will enable Reome to diversify its product offerings, boost direct-to-consumer sales, and accelerate its expansion into Europe, Australia, and the United States by 2025.
