Morocco’s First Medi-Spa Opens at Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay

Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay Medi-Spa

Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay has unveiled its new 4,300m² Medi-Spa — the first of its kind in Morocco — introducing a holistic approach to health and wellness on the Mediterranean coast.

Opened in summer 2024, Tamuda Bay is the third property in the Royal Mansour collection. It comprises 55 sea-view suites and villas, arranged as part of a sand-coloured village designed to complement the surrounding landscape. Each villa is attended by a private butler, and the property features four restaurants overseen by three Michelin-starred chefs: Mediterranean cuisine by Spanish chef Quique Dacosta, French dishes by Éric Frechon, and Italian cooking by the Alajmo brothers.

Central to the Medi-Spa offering is the Longevity Programme, a personalised and immersive experience that combines modern medicine with ancient healing traditions. Designed to optimise both physical and mental wellbeing, it invites guests to slow down, reconnect, and regenerate — all under the guidance of a multidisciplinary team of specialists.

The Longevity Programme is structured around five key pillars:

  • Metabolic & Functional Balance: a full medical assessment, including blood tests, designed to identify deficiencies and imbalances and to evaluate overall health.
  • Nutritional Balance: personalised guidance based on bioimpedance testing, alongside Blue Zone-inspired meals to support cellular health and longevity.
  • Physical Fitness & Energy: cardiovascular, mobility, and muscle strength evaluations, used to create a bespoke fitness plan to enhance vitality.
  • Sleep & Recovery: assessment of lifestyle and sleep habits to create individualised protocols that promote restful, regenerative sleep.
  • Stress & Emotional Management: heart rate variability and cortisol cycle analysis to identify emotional imbalances and guide personalised therapies that support mental wellbeing.

The programme is developed and overseen by an in-house medical team, led by a dedicated doctor and supported by three doctors (a general practitioner specialising in dermatology and two holistic medicine specialists), a physiotherapist, a dietitian, three nurses, and 12 therapists.

The Medi-Spa’s facilities are designed for relaxation and include a marine pool, hydrotherapy suites, a traditional hammam, dedicated meditation and movement studios, and private spaces for guests to truly switch off.

Guests can experience a curated mix of clinical and holistic therapies, including cryotherapy, acupuncture, sound healing, lymphatic drainage, Watsu massage, and osteopathy, as well as an extensive range of face, hair, and body treatments from marocMaroc, Dr Burgener, and Leonor Greyl.

The Medi-Spa also features the latest non-invasive medical technologies, including Leo Hyper Pulse for hair removal, CryoGeneSys for fat reduction, Dermio Care for skin rejuvenation, and Icoone Laser for delivering a range of face and body treatments.

For those seeking to enhance physical performance, the Fitness Centre offers one-to-one training, expert-led group classes, and private sessions in yoga, Reformer Pilates, Aquabike, and more.

Even the menus at the Medi-Spa form a key part of the wellness journey. Developed by the Executive Chef in collaboration with the in-house nutritionist, they follow the principles of the Mediterranean Blue Zone diet, with an emphasis on seasonal vegetables, fruit, and fresh fish. Guests can choose from three daily calorie-controlled menu options — 850, 1,300, or 1,500 calories. The 850-calorie option is recommended for those following the Longevity Programme, while higher-calorie alternatives are available for guests not focused on weight loss.

The Longevity Programme is available in durations of 7, 10, or 14 days, starting from approximately £4,500, inclusive of all assessments and treatments, and exclusive of accommodation. À la carte Medi-Spa treatments are also available on request for guests who wish to experience individual therapies without committing to a full programme.
