Nailberry Has Entered Its LED Era, Minus the TPO

Torn between going to your next salon appointment and giving your nails a break? Nailberry’s new launch might be the option you didn’t even have on the table. The British brand, known for its healthy, breathable polishes, has released BioGlow. It’s Nailberry’s first LED-curing manicure system, designed to give a salon-style finish at home, and it’s 65% naturally derived, bio-sourced, vegan, and free from 25 ingredients the brand has blacklisted.

Before you start reaching for the foil wraps, BioGlow isn’t gel. It’s built on a new hybrid complex that sets under LED light for a hard, high-shine finish, but is free of TPO, as well as HEMA and other monomers. For those in the UK, the timing of this is no accident. Many LED-curing polishes have relied on TPO, but it’s now been officially cancelled — the EU banned the ingredient’s use in cosmetics in 2025, and new products containing it can no longer be launched in the UK.

Toxic ingredients aside, BioGlow is a natural next step for a brand that has always prioritised nail health. Founder Sonia Hully launched Nailberry in 2012 after seeing what repeated gel and acrylic treatments, along with everyday environmental wear, were doing to her clients’ nails at her London salon. L'Oxygéné, a polish formulated to let air and moisture vapour pass through to the nail, followed in 2014, before it was updated into the Bio-sourced range last year.

Although you can shop individual BioGlow products, the Starter Set has everything you need for a salon-style mani or pedi at home — with results said to last 12 days or more. There’s a primer, a base coat, a top coat, and three shades lifted from the brand’s bestsellers: Candyfloss, Noirberry, and Pop My Berry. Rounding it out are a 48W LED lamp, a nail file, nail clips, and an acetone-free remover.

If you usually flinch when the nail lamp gets a little too toasty mid-cure, you can relax. These LEDs sit behind quartz glass rather than silicone, which is said to speed up curing and reduce heat build-up.
