As someone with rosacea, introducing a new retinoid into my skincare routine can feel like a bit of a gamble. While I’m no stranger to active ingredients, there’s always the possibility that a new formula will leave my skin looking redder and angrier than when I started.

So, when Noble Panacea launched its new RetiNAD+ Renewal Booster, an intensive 10-day night treatment promising smoother, firmer, and plumper skin, I was intrigued. At £224 ($240) for just 10 applications, it sits firmly in the luxury skincare category, but the science behind the formula may go some way towards justifying the splurge.

I put it to the test for 10 consecutive nights, documenting my progress along the way. And my before-and-after photos told a pretty interesting story.

What Is the RetiNAD+ Renewal Booster?

Noble Panacea is known for its science-led approach to luxury skincare, with patented Organic Super Molecular Vessel (OSMV) technology at the heart of its formulas. It’s an encapsulation system designed to preserve the active ingredients’ potency at the molecular level and then deliver the ingredients in a controlled sequence, rather than all at once.

The new RetiNAD+ Renewal Booster combines two retinoids (retinol and retinal) and a marine bio-retinoid, a gentler natural alternative, with NAD+ and niacinamide. According to the brand, the OSMV technology releases them in a programmed sequence, starting with the bio-retinoid, then retinol, and finally retinal, the most potent, while NAD+ is released steadily throughout. Niacinamide is delivered last to help minimise potential irritation and support the skin barrier.

My Rosacea-Prone Skin Before the Test

For context, my rosacea typically presents as redness across my cheeks, cheekbones, chin, and forehead. I also have some yellowish discolouration around my eyes and mouth, a few fine lines around my eyes and temples, and some stubborn little bumps that don’t quite fit into the acne or rosacea category.

I’m also approaching 40, so while deep wrinkles aren’t a major concern just yet, fine lines and uneven texture are definitely on my radar.

I regularly alternate between AHAs/BHAs and a gentle retinol, so my skin is already somewhat accustomed to active ingredients. However, I decided to put those products aside for the duration of this test to give the booster a chance to work solo.

First Impressions

First things first: the packaging is gorgeous. Each dose is housed in its own sachet, which fits neatly inside a sleek swivel-open container that makes each one incredibly easy to access. It’s a luxurious experience before you’ve even applied a drop of product.

The formula itself is surprisingly thin, with a yellowish tint that disappears once applied. It spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave behind any tackiness or uncomfortable residue. It’s also fragrance-free, which my sensitive skin appreciates, as fragrance is one of my rosacea triggers.

Day One

I kept my evening routine relatively simple and maintained it throughout the test: my usual double cleanse (Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm followed by the Colorescience Barrier Pro 1-Step Cleanser), a spritz of hypochlorous acid (Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray), the booster, and, once it had absorbed, a lightweight moisturiser (La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermallergo Night Cream).

The next morning, I woke up to noticeably softer skin. And I mean soft. While I wasn’t expecting any dramatic visual transformation overnight, the difference in how my skin felt was immediately apparent. It was smoother to the touch, and I found that the other products in my routine seemed to blend and absorb more easily. Given the combination of retinoids in the formula, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable my skin felt and the lack of any irritation.

Since it’s a retinoid treatment, I made sure to wear sunscreen every morning throughout the test. My go-to is the Eucerin Age Defense Face Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50.

Day Five

By the halfway point, the booster had slotted seamlessly into my evening routine, and the biggest improvement was still how soft my skin felt. When I took my progress photos, I also noticed that my usual redness seemed to be starting to fade.

I wouldn’t say I noticed a massive visual transformation at this stage, but the improvement in texture was enough to keep me interested in what day 10 might deliver.

Day Ten

By the end of the treatment, my skin still felt incredibly soft and its texture more even — these remained the most obvious improvements throughout the entire experience. I also noticed that the fine lines along the tops of my cheekbones, just below my under-eye area, and near my temples appeared slightly less pronounced, and my skin felt a little firmer overall.

But when I compared my before-and-after photos, something else stood out: the reduction in my redness and the boost in my overall brightness.

The redness that typically covers my cheeks, cheekbones, chin, and forehead appeared noticeably calmer in my final photos. My complexion also looked brighter and more even overall. Together, these changes were much more noticeable in the photos than they were when I simply looked in the mirror each day.

Of course, rosacea can fluctuate, and a 10-day test isn’t enough to determine whether the booster can produce lasting improvements in redness. Still, the difference in my photos was difficult to ignore, especially considering I hadn’t experienced a single flare-up throughout the treatment.

Final Verdict: Is It Worth It?

So, does Noble Panacea’s RetiNAD+ Renewal Booster actually work?

For me, the results were impressive, particularly when it came to the reduction in visible redness. While I had initially been more interested in the formula’s smoothing and anti-ageing benefits, it was the difference in my before-and-after shots that ultimately stood out. And the fact that I experienced absolutely no irritation? A major bonus for my rosacea-prone skin.

That said, £224 ($240) is a substantial investment, particularly when I’ve tested other products that delivered excellent results for a quarter of the price. As much as I appreciate the technology behind the formula, it’s difficult for me to completely justify the cost.

However, there’s an important distinction here: this is an intensive 10-day booster designed for periodic use, rather than a serum you’d apply every day of the year. While repeat treatments could certainly add up, it’s not an expense tied to a continuous daily routine.

Would I call it an essential skincare purchase? No. But if you appreciate luxury skincare, are interested in innovative formulations, and have the budget for an intensive treatment that delivers great results, it’s definitely worth considering.
