Alpha-H Drops Midnight Retinal Eye Cream
Alpha-H has just launched Midnight Retinal Eye Cream, and as the name suggests, it’s designed to do its work overnight. It’s made with encapsulated retinal, a form of vitamin A that’s released gradually, so it’s gentler on the thin skin around the eyes. Alpha-H has added GABA to target the look of fine lines and an algae complex for hydration and puffiness, all wrapped up in a shea butter base. There’s also a cooling ceramic applicator built in, which the brand says helps with depuffing. The idea is to use it alongside Midnight Reboot Serum as part of a two-step evening routine the brand has dubbed The Night Shift.
Lanolips Superbalm Earns National Eczema Association Seal
Lanolips’ 101 Ointment Multipurpose Superbalm, the product that launched the Aussie brand, has just been awarded the National Eczema Association’s Seal of Acceptance. It’s not an easy stamp to get, with an independent panel of dermatologists, allergists, and eczema experts reviewing each product’s ingredients and testing data. The fragrance-free balm is built around ultra-pure lanolin, which the brand says closely mirrors the skin’s own lipids to help support a stressed-out barrier. Fittingly, the news arrives during Eczema Awareness Month.
Biodance Teams Up With Patrick Ta and NikkieTutorials
Biodance has partnered with makeup artists Patrick Ta and NikkieTutorials on a campaign all about prepping skin properly before makeup. The thinking is that a good base comes from well-hydrated skin, not more foundation. In new Instagram videos, the pair walk through their routines using Biodance products, starting with the brand’s best-selling Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask, then layering on the Caviar PDRN Serum and Capsule Cream. They finish with the Collagen Peptide Jelly Serum Mist, spritzed on before makeup and again afterwards for an extra hit of hydration.
Victoria Beckham Backs Harper’s Beauty Brand
It looks like Harper Beckham’s beauty debut is very much a family affair. Newly filed accounts for H7B Ltd, the holding company behind the project, show Victoria Beckham has already poured more than $3 million into her daughter’s yet-to-launch line. The brand hasn’t had the smoothest start, with its original name, Hiku by Harper, blocked in the US, but a fresh trademark for Harlo by Harper suggests the team has simply regrouped. There’s no official word yet, but all signs point to a 2027 launch.
Canada’s Weston Family Agrees to Buy Boots for $8.9 Billion
Boots is getting new owners. The Weston family, the Canadian retail dynasty behind Shoppers Drug Mart and former owners of Selfridges, has agreed to buy the high street favourite in a deal worth $8.9 billion. It includes Boots stores across the UK and Ireland, Boots Opticians, and No7. For shoppers, the new owners say they plan to invest in upgrading stores, improving the online experience, and expanding the healthcare services on offer. The deal still needs regulatory approval and is expected to go through in early 2027.
