Maybelline Launches New Mental Health Campaign
Ahead of World Mental Health Day on 10 October, Maybelline New York is turning its attention to the people who often get overlooked in conversations about mental health: the ones doing the supporting. Its new Together We’re Brave campaign, the latest chapter of its Brave Together programme, shares real stories from mothers and daughters, best friends, and other close pairs who’ve helped each other through anxiety and depression. The message is a simple one. You don’t need all the answers to be there for someone. Since 2020, Brave Together has partnered with more than 45 nonprofits in 37 countries, and the brand says it has helped over four million people access free one-to-one support.
MAC Backs Ballet Black for Black History Month
Your next MAC lipstick could help fund the next generation of British ballet dancers. This Black History Month, the brand’s Viva Glam Fund is backing Ballet Black, the ballet company founded by Cassa Pancho MBE in 2001 to champion Black and Asian dancers. Every Viva Glam purchase counts, with 100% of the selling price (minus VAT) going to the fund — including the Chappell Roan collection. There’s more to shop, too. Creator Wendy Asumadu has curated an edit of her MAC favourites, available as a bundle exclusively on TikTok Shop, and makeup artist Mil Made will be sharing her tricks at a masterclass in MAC’s Covent Garden store.
Rhode Drops Strawberry Spotwear
Hailey Bieber’s Rhode is giving its spot patches a sweet upgrade. Spotwear now comes in a strawberry shape, the first new design since the hydrocolloid patches launched earlier this year, and the brand says they’re clinically shown to leave spots looking smaller, flatter, and less red. Arriving alongside them is the Spot Case, Rhode’s first-ever holder for the patches, which doubles as a pocket mirror and has room for a card or two. Both land today at rhodeskin.com. Meanwhile, Peptide Lip Tint in Pretzel, the shimmery mauve shade fans voted for in the spring, is back for good after selling out.
Moods Launches MoodWash
Aromatherapy brand Moods has introduced MoodWash, a new line of aromatic shower oils designed to help you get more out of your daily shower. Each one mixes eight nourishing botanical oils with an eight-oil scent blend the brand says helps shift your mood. There are four to pick from depending on how you want to feel. Fit is meant for mornings or before a workout, Found is for when you need to reset, Euphoric is for a mood boost, and Chill is for winding down at night. Once it hits wet skin, the oil turns milky and, according to the brand, rinses clean without leaving a greasy feel.
Ole Henriksen Opens Scandiland Pop-Up in NYC
Ole Henriksen is bringing a taste of Scandinavia to New York this weekend with Scandiland, a candy-themed pop-up celebrating its newest Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatment, Scandi Candy. In Scandinavia, pick-and-mix sweets are practically a cultural ritual, and the craze has been spreading, with US searches for Scandinavian candy up 400% over the past year. The pop-up leans fully into the theme, with candy-inspired installations, exclusive merch, and sweet treats. It’s open at 262 Mott Street on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October, from 11am to 7pm.
