Saltair Adds Ocean Oasis to Its Scent Lineup
Saltair’s newest scent is designed to bring a little coastal calm to your routine. Ocean Oasis opens with Italian lemon, bergamot, and peach nectar, followed by apricot blossom and blue cyclamen, before sandalwood, skin musk, and wild vetiver give it a soft, woody base. It’s available across five bodycare products: a serum body wash, a fine fragrance body mist, a nourishing body oil, a multi-lipid body butter, and a 5% AHA serum deodorant. That means you can layer it through your whole routine, from the shower onwards. Find it now at saltair.com.
The Skin Prep Behind Glenn Close’s All’s Fair Premiere Look
Glenn Close’s glowing complexion at Monday’s New York premiere of All’s Fair came courtesy of makeup artist Benjamin Puckey and a lineup of Augustinus Bader skincare. He wanted her skin to look hydrated and luminous without feeling heavy, so the makeup would sit beautifully and “still look like skin”. He started with a spritz of The Face Mist, then applied The Elixir, which the brand says helps improve tone and texture. Next came The Rich Cream for a smooth, supple base, before The Rich Eye Cream finished things off around the eyes.
Japanese Brand Unlabel Lab Makes Its US Debut
Japanese beauty brand Unlabel Lab has arrived in the US with its R Essence retinol serum, now available on Amazon. The brand says the serum is gentle enough for beginners and sensitive skin, thanks to a lightweight, watery texture designed to deliver results without the irritation retinol can sometimes cause. It also claims you’ll see a difference in the look of wrinkles in just seven days. Founder Hiroshi Nagai says global expansion has been the goal from day one, and Amazon is only the first step. The brand will also land in Costco stores across the US later this month.
Phlur Launches Cashmere Frost Hair & Body Mist
Phlur has a new winter scent, and it’s a cosy one. Cashmere Frost, the brand’s latest Hair & Body Mist, starts off bright with iced bergamot, almond, and tiare flower. Then snowdrop, jasmine, and silver aldehydes add a cool, almost sparkly feel, before musk, vanilla cream, and cashmere woods soften everything into a powdery, slightly sweet finish. According to Phlur, it was inspired by the first snowfall and the feeling of cashmere against bare skin, which feels about right as the temperature drops. It’s available now at Space NK in the UK and amazon.com in the US.
Abib Arrives at Ulta Beauty
Another K-beauty name has joined Ulta Beauty’s shelves. Korean skincare brand Abib is now available at the US retailer, with 15 products spanning its PDRN range, collagen treatments, serums, masks, and sunsticks. Highlights include the PDRN Retinal Eye Patch Glow Jelly, which pairs PDRN with retinal for a targeted eye treatment, and the PDRN Collagen Lip Mask Glazed Jelly, an overnight lip treatment designed to hydrate and soften. Sunscreen fans can choose between the Quick Sunstick Protection Bar, an SPF 50+ stick made for easy reapplication, and the lightweight Airy Sunstick Smoothing Bar. There’s also the PDRN Volume Fill-It Booster Crème for plumper-looking skin.
Artifact Debuts With Two Genderless Extraits
New British fragrance house Artifact has arrived with two genderless extraits de parfum, Neo and Hot. Founded by Keely Parsons, the brand is built around what it calls Neo-Adaptive Fragrance, using time-released layers that it says react to your skin’s temperature and pH, so each scent develops differently on every wearer. Both are 25% extraits, and there are 10ml sizes and a discovery set for anyone wary of a blind buy. Read the full details here.

Kimberly-Clark Closes Its Kenvue Takeover

Kimberly-Clark has completed its acquisition of Kenvue, bringing brands including OGX, Johnson’s Baby, and Aveeno under the same roof as its own Cottonelle, Kotex, and Depend. In total, the combined company now has 10 billion-dollar brands. CEO Mike Hsu calls it a defining moment in the company’s 154-year history, and says the focus now is on moving quickly to make the most of the deal.
