Fornasetti Launches Debut Fragrance Collection
Fornasetti, Italy’s iconic design house, has ventured into the world of perfume with its debut fragrance collection, Extrait de Parfum.
“The extrait de parfum is the sublimation of this vision, an evocation of a memory, an image, capturing a moment to be remembered in the future by wearing a perfume,” the brand said in a statement.
The collection was crafted in collaboration with renowned perfumer Paolo Terenzi. It includes three fragrances, each inspired by Fornasetti muse Lina Cavalieri and said to embody the brand’s ‘dreamlike universe’. Fragrances include:
- Immaginazione (Imagination) – a woody, musky fragrance with top notes of lavender, thyme, juniper, and geranium, heart notes of cedar, patchouli, and vanilla, and base notes of amber, oakmoss, tonka bean, agarwood, and sandalwood.
- Frutto Proibito (Forbidden Fruit) – an intricate floral bouquet that includes top notes of anise, bergamot, blood orange, and Sicilian grapefruit, heart notes of jasmine, Mexican tuberose, ylang ylang, and cyclamen, and base notes of vanilla, oakmoss, Cuban cedar, and rosewood.
- Giardino Segreto (Secret Garden) – a green aromatic scent featuring top notes of tomato, blackcurrant, rhubarb, and raspberry, middle notes of petitgrain, galbanum, carnation, and geranium, and base notes of myrrh, ebony, sandalwood, opoponax, and agarwood.
Each fragrance is contained in a beautiful octagonal glass bottle, decorated with a magnifying glass effect and a marbled resin cap. The three fragrance bottles are interpreted visually by three variations of Fornasetti’s unmistakable Tema e Variazioni series.
The Fornasetti Extrait de Parfum collection is available online at fornasetti.com, as well as Fornasetti stores in Milan, Harrods in London, and an exclusive network of distributors. Each 100ml bottle is priced at £480.
