Trinny London Launches Overnight Hand Treatment

Trinny London is giving hands the kind of overnight care usually reserved for faces. Its new Take Back Time Overnight Hand Transformation is a two-step treatment that pairs a concentrated hand serum with a microneedle step, designed to work while you sleep. It’s aimed at the signs of ageing that regular hand creams don’t tend to tackle, with alpha arbutin and a bio-retinoid for dark spots, peptides for crepey skin, and an L-ornithine complex the brand says helps restore lost volume. Trinny London is billing it as a global first.

The HRT Skin Side Effect Nobody Talks About

It’s Menopause Awareness Month, and clinical facialist Kate Kerr wants to talk about an HRT side effect that doesn’t get much airtime. HRT can be good news for skin, with some women noticing less dryness once they start. But certain types of HRT, especially those with testosterone, can boost oil production and bring on breakouts. If that sounds familiar, Kate’s advice is to speak to your doctor rather than changing anything yourself. As for your skincare, she says it’s about treating the skin you have now, not the skin you had six months ago.

Dragons’ Den’s Touker Suleyman Moves Into Beauty With Lipstick London

Former Dragon Touker Suleyman is making his first move into beauty with Lipstick London, a lip-only brand built around the idea of having a different shade for every mood. It’s a name he’s held onto for a while, too, having owned the Lipstick trademark for more than 40 years. He’s created the brand with makeup artist Paul Marsh, who has worked with Laura Mercier and Chantecaille, and entrepreneur Marietta Hickman, who first met him when she pitched on the show. The launch range is a big one, with 99 shades across 13 products, from lip liners and crayons to glosses, stains, and an overnight lip mask. Everything is priced between £14 and £21, in line with the brand’s pitch of luxury quality without the luxury price, and the range is available exclusively in the UK.

Glow Hub Founder Is Launching Lip Care Brand Byorbe

Glow Hub founder Tiffany Salmon-Mills has been working on a new brand, and it’s aimed at a very specific problem: lips that take a beating during retinoid use, acne treatments, and peels. Byorbe will debut with what it calls the world’s first lip barrier system, made up of two fragrance-free balms. The daytime version has SPF 50, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid, while the overnight one swaps sun protection for soothing arnica and calendula. Both are built around a film-forming complex the brand says locks in moisture and keeps strong actives from creeping onto the lips. Get the full details here.

Rituals Debuts 16 New Fine Fragrances

Rituals is making a serious move into fine fragrance, with 16 new scents across two collections created with fragrance house dsm-firmenich. Aeonian is the Dutch brand’s first haute parfumerie line, with eight scents from leading perfumers including Élise Benat and Fabrice Pellegrin, and the brand says they last up to 24 hours. The Founder’s Collection, dreamed up by Raymond Cloosterman and his family, is the more everyday offering, with eight eaux de parfum focused on joy. Read the full story here.

Olaplex Lands at Boots

Olaplex fans can now pick up their bond-building favourites alongside their meal deal. The haircare brand launches at Boots today, both online and in 36 stores to start, with a wider rollout across the country due to be finished by the end of November. It’s a move shoppers have clearly been waiting for, as Boots says Olaplex has been one of the most searched-for premium haircare brands on its website over the past three months. The launch covers the brand’s best-known products across treatments, shampoos and conditioners, and styling, all built around its patented bond technology.
