Katseye’s Yoonchae Is the New Face of Dr.Jart+
Dr.Jart+ has found its new muse in Katseye’s Yoonchae. The Korean skincare brand has named the singer its first-ever North America ambassador, and she’s fronting a campaign for the newly reformulated Premium BB Cream.
If Katseye hasn’t appeared on any of your playlists yet, you’re missing out. The group only debuted in 2024 (yes, they’re the girls from Netflix’s Pop Star Academy) but have already bagged two Grammy nominations, plus Billboard hits with ‘Gnarly’ and ‘Gabriela’. They’ve even collaborated with fellow K-beauty brand Laneige, but this partnership is all Yoonchae’s.
It’s a natural fit for Dr.Jart+, too. The brand was founded in Seoul in 2005, and it has form with K-pop, having named boy band Enhypen as its first global ambassadors in 2023.
“Music, especially K-pop, has always been an important part of how Dr.Jart+ shows up in culture,” said Ye Jin Kim, the brand’s VP and global brand lead. “We love collaborating with Korean artists to share our Korean roots with fans around the world.”
At the centre of it all is the Premium BB Cream SPF 30, the latest version of the cult favourite that kick-started the US BB cream craze back in 2011. It’s now made with 2% niacinamide and glycerin to help moisturise and support the skin barrier while giving all-day coverage and the glassy finish we’re all desperate for.
“I’ve always believed that taking care of my skin is a way of taking care of myself,” Yoonchae said. “No matter how busy my schedule gets, I love having a simple routine that makes me feel confident and comfortable in my own skin. Dr.Jart+ has always felt fun and innovative to me.”
Dr.Jart+ Premium BB Cream SPF 30 is available for £33 ($49) at Boots and amazon.co.uk in the UK, and at drjart.com and amazon.com in the US.
