Lara Worthington Launches New Makeup Brand, Ommage
Launching a makeup brand with just three products takes a serious amount of confidence, but Lara Worthington is leaning all the way in. Her new brand, Ommage, is making its debut with just a skin tint, a lipstick, and a single buffing brush.
If you’ve followed the model’s career — and her first beauty venture, The Base by Lara Bingle — you’ll already appreciate her painfully effortless approach to beauty. Ommage launches with that same signature, delivering intuitive, low-maintenance formulas designed to slot straight into your morning routine without requiring a complex YouTube tutorial.
The debut lineup may be small, but it earns a spot in an already overflowing makeup bag. First up is First Base, a hydrating, buildable skin cream made to even out your complexion without masking your actual skin. Then there’s Lip Coat, a soft-focus lipstick that delivers a sheer wash of colour in one swipe or builds up to a richer stain. Rounding out the trio is the Buffer Brush, a dense vegan-fibre brush that makes applying the tint feel less like a precise application technique and more like second nature.
Now the product edit may be concise, but Ommage has taken a far less restrained approach to its packaging. Created alongside artist and graphic designer Brian Roettinger (who has previously worked with Skims and Nécessaire), the components take inspiration from industrial shapes altered by pressure. Think deliberately dented and softened surfaces that feel refreshingly anti-precious. It’s beauty packaging designed to be handled, appreciated, and casually tossed into the bottom of your tote.
“Ommage began with a simple idea: that beauty can start with the object itself. I wanted to create sculptural pieces that feel as good in the hand as they do on the face,” Worthington says of the design process.
First Base launches in 12 shades and is pitched as your go-to complexion saviour for those low-effort days when full coverage foundation feels like far too much work. It can be blended in with your fingers or applied using the Ommage Buffer Brush.
Meanwhile, Lip Coat drops in eight versatile shades, each designed to leave behind a dreamy, velvety wash of colour that fits right into the soft-focus, blurred-lip trend that continues to dominate our feeds.
“Every formula was developed to accentuate features, rather than mask or correct. My hope is that this core collection becomes what you reach for, return to, and make your own,” Worthington adds.
The debut collection hits ommage.com on 22 September, with prices starting at $34. No word yet on a UK launch.
