L’Oréal USA Names New President of Luxe Division
L’Oréal USA has appointed company veteran Silvia Galfo as the new president of its Luxe Division USA. Galfo, who previously served as the chief growth officer of the division, will take over from Megan Grant, whose future career plans remain undisclosed.
As part of her new role, Galfo will report to David Greenberg, chief executive officer of L’Oréal USA and the president of the company’s North America zone.
“Silvia brings a long and impressive track record of success in all areas of the beauty business,” said Greenberg. “She is a long-term L’Oréalian with a world view on beauty and luxury. I am confident that Silvia’s strong leadership and consumer orientation will continue to drive the luxe brand portfolio to new heights in the United States.”
This change in leadership marks a strategic move to harness Galfo’s extensive experience within the company to spearhead growth and innovation across prestigious brands, such as Armani Beauty, Aēsop, Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, and Kiehl’s. Galfo’s previous leadership roles include general manager of Armani Beauty and senior vice president of marketing at Lancôme.
“I am very excited to now be heading up the Luxe Division of L’Oreal USA and am filled with appreciation for this new chapter in my career,” Galfo told Women’s Wear Daily. “As a beauty aficionado, I am inspired to lead such an exceptional portfolio of luxury beauty brands and I am committed to continue captivating consumers with our highly desirable brands, always striving for excellence and pushing boundaries.”
Her appointment comes at a time when L’Oréal Luxe is experiencing substantial global expansion, notably with the recent integration of Aēsop, a brand acquired from Natura&Co in 2023.
