Guerlain to Open Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York

Guerlain Wellness Spa Waldorf Astoria New York

Guerlain is set to unveil its largest spa this summer, located within the newly restored Waldorf Astoria New York.

Spanning 30,000 sq ft on the hotel’s fourth floor, the expansive destination spa will present the iconic French beauty brand’s full range of beauty, skincare, and wellness therapies to New York City locals, hotel residents, and guests alike.

“By partnering with Waldorf Astoria New York, we’re creating a revolutionary wellness destination featuring our Guerlain skilled experts paired with our innovative technology,” said Diane Davody, international spa business director at Guerlain. “Our bespoke wellness programs are designed to provide New Yorkers, guests and residents profound renewal and total well-being for body, mind, and soul.”

Designed by Wimberly Interiors – the acclaimed studio behind many of the world’s most distinguished spaces, including Rosewood Hong Kong, The Bellagio Shanghai, and Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach – the Guerlain Wellness Spa will combine a contemporary aesthetic with Art Deco influences, in homage to the hotel’s original interiors.

Located in the heart of Manhattan, the spa promises serenity through immersive, tailored wellness experiences and tradition spa treatments. Operated by Trilogy Spa Holdings, it will feature 16 treatment rooms, including two VIP double suites, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. On the ground floor, Guerlain will also debut two retail boutiques, showcasing the brand’s skincare, fragrance, and makeup collections.

Every service is underpinned by core pillars such as sleep quality, mindfulness, movement, and micronutrition. Guests will be invited to explore an extensive menu of exclusive programs and treatments, developed in collaboration with leading wellness experts to offer a truly holistic approach to wellbeing.

Signature spa offerings will include Guerlain’s renowned skincare rituals and results-oriented therapies, ranging from age-defying facials to traditional and advanced massage techniques, as well as bespoke bodywork remedies. Guests can participate in curated wellness and longevity programmes targeting specific goals, such as restoring skin health or boosting energy. Blending timeless design with next-generation technology, the spa will also feature pioneering amenities such as the Amphibia Welnamis table, designed to induce deep mental relaxation, and the multifunctional 601 Glamour table, which represents the pinnacle of aesthetic innovation.

Exclusive treatments include:

  • Spirit of Achievement: Named after the iconic statue above the Park Avenue entrance, this deep massage is paired with breathing techniques to help guests reconnect with their inner strength.
  • Rhythm of Wellness: Inspired by the many musicians who once composed at the Waldorf Astoria, this treatment fuses therapeutic touch with melodic piano notes, guiding the senses on a harmonious escape.
  • Like Clockwork: A sensory experience driven by synchronised sound, designed to promote deep relaxation and sharpen mental focus.

Exclusive wellness programmes include:

  • 1 Hour Power: An ultra-targeted programme aimed at specific needs such as enhancing radiance, improving sleep, or supporting slimming goals.
  • Wellness Programmes: Bespoke plans lasting from three to six months, each centred on a guest’s dedicated outcome, whether it be skin health, improved sleep, or overall vitality.

Waldorf Astoria New York is set to reopen in spring 2025, with the Guerlain Wellness Spa and retail boutiques launching in late summer. For further information, visit waldorfastorianewyork.com.
