Lancôme Names Olivia Rodrigo as Global Ambassador
Lancôme has unveiled Olivia Rodrigo, the 21-year-old American singer-songwriter and actress, as its latest Global Brand Ambassador.
The three-time Grammy-winning artist joins other notable A-listers who have represented the French beauty brand, such as Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Emma Chamberlain, and Nico Parker.
“Embracing your individuality is so important in beauty since there are many unrealistic expectations placed on young women today,” said Rodrigo in a statement. “Lancôme is an iconic and timeless brand that promotes beauty from within, and I am honoured to be part of their family.”
This isn’t Rodrigo’s first foray into beauty, having partnered with cult-favourite brand Glossier in 2022. That year, the hitmaker wore Glossier on red carpets and co-created the Olivia Rodrigo Collection—a limited-edition bundle showcasing her favourite products.
Her partnership with Lancôme follows the success of her GUTS World Tour, a sold-out 95-date arena tour across North America, Europe, the UK, Asia, and Australia, as well as the release of a Netflix concert film special highlighting her hometown performances in Los Angeles.
“I am incredibly proud to welcome Olivia to the Lancôme family,” expressed Françoise Lehmann, International Brand President at Lancôme. “We’re all captivated by her striking personality and immense talent, and inspired by her commitment to positive change—which we value deeply at Lancôme—pouring her true heart and emotion into everything she does.”
For her first photoshoot with the brand, Rodrigo’s signature look was crafted by makeup artist Melissa Hernandez, who used a selection of Lancôme’s hero products. Her radiant complexion was achieved with Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation in the shade 345N and Blush Subtil Powder Blush in 345 Rose Fresque. For her eyes, Hernandez turned to the Idôle Liner in 01 Glossy Black, paired with Cils Booster XL Enhancing Lash & Mascara Primer and Definicils High-Definition Mascara in 01 Black. The look was completed with L’Absolu Rouge Cream Lipstick in 132 Caprice De Rouge.
Rodrigo will front Lancôme’s upcoming launches and campaigns, starting with a highly anticipated campaign for the L’Absolu Rouge lipstick line, set to debut by the end of 2024, according to WWD.
