Parfums de Marly Enters Home Fragrance

Luxury fragrance house Parfums de Marly is expanding into the home fragrance market with an innovative diffuser that combines advanced technology with refined design. Initially launched in the US, the new Home Diffuser can be purchased via the brand’s website and will soon be exclusively available at Neiman Marcus.

After an extensive three-year development period, the Home Diffuser reimagines home scenting with a unique dry diffusion technology that promises exceptional scent delivery while maintaining air quality. The device features a handcrafted base concealing a sophisticated ventilation system. Recyclable fragrance refills are conveniently placed on top to release their notes, as Yvan Jacqueline, president of Parfums de Marly Americas, described to WWD: “It is a vent, creating wind, which passes through a tape filmed with perfume oil. It’s pretty simple, and the development was grounded in having something playful, easy-to-use and luxurious.”

The Home Diffuser launches with four collectible fragrance refills: the brand’s signature scents Delina, Althaïr, and Haltane, alongside Délices d’Épices, a festive mix of cinnamon and tonka bean created in 2023 for the festive season, conjuring the pleasures of the 18th-century French royal court. Priced at $80 each, the fragrance refills can be used individually or combined to create a more unique olfactory experience.

The diffuser’s intensity is also designed to be adjustable, accommodating various settings from intimate to expansive. Yvan Jacqueline elaborated on its flexibility: “You can increase the vent power or reduce it depending on the strengths you need,” Jacqueline told WWD. “Basically, you keep it at half-strength when you’re alone and it’s more than enough. But if you have a party with 50 people, you put it at maximum and add more cassettes.”

Additionally, the Home Diffuser is equipped with smart technology, enabling it to connect to a mobile app for remote activation. With just a press of a button, users can swiftly fill a room with their favourite fragrance. When no longer needed, another click stops the device, and the air clears within three minutes, making it both convenient and efficient for managing the olfactory ambiance of any room.

The Parfums de Marly Home Diffuser is available for $395 and can be purchased online at parfums-de-marly.com. Information regarding a UK launch is yet to be announced.
