Dr. Idriss Arrives in the UK

Dr. Idriss UK

Dr. Shereene Idriss, founder of Idriss Dermatology in New York City, is far from your average dermatologist. In 2018, driven by her passion for helping patients look and feel their best, she began posting informative skincare videos on Instagram. Recognising a growing number of patients sharing unfounded and misguided skincare concerns, she set out to debunk common myths and educate her audience about proper skin care. Filming from the comfort of her own bed, her #PillowtalkDerm videos quickly gained popularity, eventually leading to over three million followers and establishing her as a trusted voice in the skincare community.

In 2022, motivated by her dedicated and engaged global community of ‘Skin Nerds,’ Dr. Idriss launched her eponymous skincare line, Dr. Idriss. Staying true to her mission to demystify the often confusing world of skincare and cosmetic procedures, the brand offers a curated collection of science-backed, fact-based skincare solutions aimed at delivering real and consistent results. It promises no fear-mongering, no marketing hype, no meaningless claims, and no B.S. And now, after much anticipation, Dr. Idriss is finally making its debut in the UK.

Dr. Idriss Dermatologist

Set to debut on 17th September, Dr. Idriss will introduce its hero Major Fade 3-Step Solution System, which draws inspiration from Dr. Idriss’s personal struggle with melasma. Created to enhance skin brightness and evenness, the system specifically targets and prevents discolouration. As Dr. Idriss explains, “I’ve always said that you can have all the lines and wrinkles in the world, but if your skin tone is bright and even, your other skin issues are less noticeable. Yet few of the brightening products out there can treat stubborn discoloration—especially melasma. It’s a bitch! I see it on tons of patients and have experienced it myself during pregnancy.”

Major Fade features a powerful trio of products that exfoliate, treat, and prevent hyperpigmentation, all without requiring a medical prescription. While the products are designed to work together for optimal results, they can also be used individually.

The Major Fade Hyper Serum is a daily hydrating serum designed to instantly brighten the skin. Enriched with alpha arbutin, kojic acid, diglucosyl gallic acid, niacinamide, and glycerin, it helps to treat and fade existing hyperpigmentation. The Major Fade Active Seal, a hydrating gel-cream moisturiser, locks in potent brightening ingredients like vitamin C ester, 4-butylresorcinol, and hexapeptide-2 to prevent future discolouration. Lastly, the Major Fade Flash Mask is a resurfacing mask featuring glycolic, lactic, and tranexamic acids to gently exfoliate the skin, leaving it brighter and smoother, while helping other products penetrate more effectively.

Other products in the range include Soft Wash, a pH-balanced jelly cleanser that’s gentle enough for sensitive skin yet effective at removing sunscreen and light makeup, and The Depuffer, a roll-on serum clinically proven to relieve transient skin redness and reduce undereye puffiness.

All Dr. Idriss products are vegan, cruelty-free, and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. With prices ranging from £31 to £70, Dr. Idriss will be available exclusively at dridriss.com. For those in the US, the brand is also available at Sephora with prices ranging from $30 to $68.
